Hi there,
i just bought Bitwig and i am using Bitwig 6 Beta right now.
I dont want to start with 5 just because it has a "final" Release so i thought i just start with 6Beta.
However
Ive seen several Videos on Audio Editing in Bitwig5. So i did throw several Drumloops into my Bitwig6 Beta and after i double clicked the Audio File the Onsets (etc) should appear next to the Waveform but i seems it doesnt happen in Bitwig 6???? (i tried several files, but its always the same result)
Maybe i miss a step before they appear ?? As i said before, im really new to BW.
So do any of you have a clue ??
Ps.
See Screenshot.

You have to long-click this icon in the bottom left of the detailed editor to bring up the options, onsets is at the bottom.

Hey Griffin, thanks for your quick answer.
Are you using Bitwig 6 ??
I cant seem to find this icon, (do you see it on my screenshot)???
AHHHHHH.
All good now.
This icon is NOT there. Its just the Watch, until you click on the Watch then it changes.
OK cool. So there it is.
Big up mate.
Cheers for your Help !!

Thank you!
After my machine serious crash and totall reinstall, I decided not to install BW 5. So I'm waiting for BW6 now too.

I'm not using the Beta but wouldn't a Right-Click be more efficient than a loooong click?

I'm not sure that there's much of a difference to be honest, i do think that it is less efficient than the way it was before though especially if you used to switch between options in quick succession.liquidsound wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 6:40 pm I'm not using the Beta but wouldn't a Right-Click be more efficient than a loooong click?
Edit- Although having said that the two most common options i would switch between the most i.e pitch and gain do have keyswitches t for transpose (pitch in the old version) and g for gain

Yo griffin,
ok now i know that they changed the way how you get to use the Onsets. Also i know now that youre just sporadically checking out BW6, so youre also still "new" to BW6 Concept.
Thanks for your Help !!

Long click to reveal options is not some sort of crazy idea. Long click is for touch devices, where a person does not have "right click," so it's a well-planned thing.griffin wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 7:45 pmThere you go you learn somthing new everyday and it does actually feel better/quickerpdxindy wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 7:40 pmRight click also works... Bitwig is known to play nicely on touch screens.
So there you have it.
