Done. I also reported that the sample browser doesn't remember the last location when changing samples, so setting up round robins is much more tedious than it could be.

Also with one-click preview the whole audio engine dies if scrolling down samples while playing with the MIDI keyboard at the same time. Does it happen to someone else?

Teksonik wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 2:29 pm However unless I'm missing something there is no way to point it to our custom drum sample folders. That means any sample you want to use will have to be duplicated into Attack 3's own sample folder. As someone who has many gigs of drum samples that's obviously not an optimal situation. Hopefully I'm just missing something obvious.
Try a symbolic link, it's just a workaround but works wonders.
Thanks, I just sent a support request to Waldorf asking for the ability to set a custom folder in a future update.

We'll see what they say or if they respond. I'd prefer not to use symlinks unless that's a last resort.

It's nice to know they do have a sense of humor. From the manual:

"Coffee Filter
A coffee filter is a coffee-brewing utensil, usually made of
disposable paper. It is part of an essential toolkit for survival
when working with the Waldorf Attack 3" :hihi:

Igro wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 11:37 am Nice! Basically you can now have only two Drumsynths - BabyAudio TEKNO and Attack 3. Former for that analog vibe and the latter for that digital feel. Both are very CPU friendly synths.
Battalion beats them both 😛

Ok so where’s a real update if the PPG wave then!

Yeah, this white background is a bit too... white :hihi: Way better than the former one, but i won't say no to a dark gui.
Is it me or is the LFO-> attack mod still broken ?

Has someone managed to play the upper patches chromatically with Reaper? I suspect that MIDI and VST3 doesn't work.

I use JS MIDI Tool and change the output channel with the same results.

EDIT: I see on the MIDI logger that I'm actually changing the channels.

It's work fine in REASON 13 (VST3 format) .

I found the problem. It always plays the 24 one-shots no matter the MIDI channel. What changes when you change channel is what is played two octaves above. Thanks!

I did check, seems just some specific dependency by mod waveform in attack segment case. It works with the noise and s+h forms, but with rest other really couldn't reproduce modulation. IDK why that.

Upd
And seems the same for other Env segments (hear mod from noise and s+h only).
That strange, because in general lfo simple waveforms are works, if for example check it at pitch of osc.

i really liked some of your sounds / patterns ! Very inspiring ( so i had to buy this one, while i´ve shouldn´t)

you should do a sound preset pack.
Cool electro. I´ll buy it

Spent ~2 hours with the demo and tried really hard to be impressed by anything sound-wise (still sounds like a VSTi from the '00s), then switched to the D16 usual suspects and the difference was mind-blowing. Same old kits, uninspiring distortion, half-baked GUI, fiddly controls. CPU usage was the only good thing (D16 are CPU hogs by comparison). Hugely disappointing 'effort', dear lazy Waldorf!

I received an A.I. response from Waldorf on my request to allow for a custom sample path to be set in Attack 3:

"Waldorf Music replied that it is not currently planned but the suggestion will be forwarded".

So not really a helpful response....forwarded and implemented or forwarded and ignored, no way to tell..... :?

Thank you for your incredibly visionary and paradigm-shifting inquiry. At this present moment in the current timeline of our strategic roadmap, Waldorf Music is not actively planning to implement this feature; however, please rest assured that your groundbreaking suggestion has been ceremoniously placed into our state-of-the-art Idea Forwarding Pipeline™, where it will continue its important journey toward Potential Future Consideration Excellence.
