Three Drives - Greece 2000 (Lead Melody + Bass = Lately Bass & Solid Bass)

I've came to a conclusion that the Three Drives - Greece 2000 lead melody was definitely made with the same preset of Lately Bass / Solid Bass that plays the bassline in the original track as well. Just put that Lately Bass preset from D#6 up to D#7 in your MIDI piano roll (Find online Greece 2000 Midi) and adjust velocities of each important key/note.

I've tried to nail that pluck lead sound for over a decade now and the closest preset of the melody I found was in a VST called "Full Bucket / FB02" called 'LatelyB' for Melody, and for the bassline you can find 'SolBass' both in the Factory Sounds section, it's a freeware plugin. The plugin itself is FM sound generator and it's emulating these older synthesizers of Yamaha such as: DX27, DX100, TX81Z and so on. The modern synthesizers such as Serum2 cannot replicate this specific pluck sound because of the FM limitations within, but it can get close though, I've used it only as a layer behind this melody that I'm explaining.

The FX chain you should use on that Lead Melody of Greece 2000 should be something like this:

#EQ cut all bellow 200hz - to remove all subs
#Wider (Stereo Tool) 112% + 587hz low bypass
#Reverb shorter decay of 1.3s
#TAL-Dub-X (Delay)- Sync on, 1/8 + 1/16 (adjust feedback and mix knobs)
-- It's the closest I've got with these settings, it can still be better adjusted.

Those plugins didn't exist when Greece 2000 was created. I think they used a Roland JV-1080 or something similar.
