Oh cool!! I don't remember how they were activated or anything so I figured I was screwed. If there's a key file I have it in my "master storage though". Thanks a ton!

name and email address when you're installing...

fwiw, vazmod has always worked perfectly in 64-bit hosts for me, via jbridge

Good for you, I'm not that lazy.
It is kind of buried on their site.

Even after clicking on Instruments at the top of the page, and then clicking All Instruments, it takes a quite bit of scrolling to find it. Filtering by category of "Synthesizer" (yet another click) makes it much easier to find.

Yeah, both NI and Steinberg have really badly designed websites but at least NI's has search. The reason I didn't find FM Lab is that, after their big guns, Steinberg list their products alphabetically so once I got past "F" I stopped looking there and tried to find it through other means. Later on I noticed that it re-starts from "A" further down the page, which is really dumb.

I kept using it for ages via j bridge and the internal bitwig bridge. I'll fire them up.

Bitwig specific, but feel like not many folks mention Phase 4 which is a stock phase distortion/phase modulation synth in Bitwig. 4 operators, which can be folded into various analogue shapes, filter FM, feedback, 4 freely routable oscillators. Sounds really nice. Made the cheesy DX chimey piano preset last night and then also a decent atonal buzzing drone. Nice instrument if you make psytrance.

Hi it's Acrobat here,
you can synchronized EGO Pad selecting "TIME" page on the left column,
then switch to "SLAVE" tempo,

while

if you want to set BPM by yourself in any program:
switch to "MASTER" tempo,
then select the bpm with the cell below it.

cheers,
A.

EGO Pad is quite Great/Grand, Helluva piece of code... Wish it would ingest better in different DAWs/Sequencers... Some just clean puke it up...

Yeah, baby! That thing can sound absolutely monstrous! It's my kind of FM synth and it has an interface that actually encourages you to explore and experiment, which is quite rare. The only minor complaint I have about it is that it is very slow to initilise but I can live with that.

It's funny how a lot of people are mentioning old synths that were hyped up in the day but aren't as popular now for whatever reason. Cameleon 5000 would be a good example.

Then there's something like Rapture, which I recall was really popular amongst Cakewalk users but I don't think got much traction outside that user base.

I used to like RM IV and RMV a lot, but they got lost behind DR-008 and Battery.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Too many to mention but if I had to pick one that you'd be lucky to find more than one thread about here at KVR it would have to be Wavemapper 2.

First of all, with Wolfgang Palm gone, you can't even get this synth anymore. So if you've got one, hang onto it because I have no idea if you have to reinstall it it it will even work. It has one of the most unusual architectures I've ever seen and can make sounds that I've yet to be able to duplicate on any other synth.

And NOBODY talks about it. Not then and not now.

Never heard about it.
Well, but it was a not small topic here at kvr only two years ago. Ahh, sorry, 2014 not 2024, well, quite long ago.
