Unfiltered Audio Battalion

Anyone using Battalion on a Mac? I cannot for the live of me figure out why my save presets will not save in the 'User Presets' folder. I have to create a custom folder in the 'Factory Presets' folder in order to see them. Also, the Factory Presets folder doesn't even display in Finder. I only see it within the file/save menu in Battalion.

Can someone tell me the path for the 'User Presets' folder? I see it should be in Library > Audio > Presets .....

This has been maddening. I changed all of my Presets folder permissions to Read & Write, still no luck.

Hey sorry for the frustration- I feel your pain. We talk about this on our support page and include a "UA Folder Path Bible" because people always ask where to find X. I can't tell you how many times I've been unable to find something and start swearing, and I build the things. I'd keep this link around.

'Mac has become especially problematic as they decided on the new OS updates to make the user Library folder hidden by default. Sorry for the annoyance! Another question: How do I get Battalion to begin playing when it receives a C-2 or C#-2, but then stop playing when I stop or use the sequence? I seem t remember this working before, but it takes an extra toggle of play/stop to do it now. I'm on DP 11.35 and Mojave.

I reported an issue about 2 years ago when it first came out and UA still haven't issued a fix for it.

There is still a problem with custom samples at 96kHz playing back at the wrong speed if the plugin has been deactivated in Logic. Saving and reloading the patch won't fix it, even a restart won't fix it. The sample becomes permanently destroyed. This is a big problem.

My projects are all at 96k, so if I naturally stop to sample something to drop into Battalion I want to be able to do it quickly without breaking the flow. Stopping, closing the session, creating a new one, importing what I need just so I can create a sample that reliably plays back at the right speed is such a workflow killer.

So it would be really, really appreciated if they can actually address this problem with the next release.

Hey- this is news to me. Sometimes things get lost and we aren't able to keep track of all threads. I saw this by checking in here. I'll take a look- that should work but I believe you that it doesn't. I don't want all 96k sessions to be out of speed so that's critical in my eyes. Thanks for mentioning it again here. Cheers!

They don’t update their plugins frequently and rarely respond to user posts. Once it’s released, it’s basically archived while they chase the next shiny idea. If history is any indicator, development ends the moment the marketing campaign does. I wouldn’t expect fixes.

Terribly disappointed with brands like Unfiltered Audio and Sugar Bytes. There are far too many serious, well-run audio plugin developers out there delivering consistent updates and meaningful feature improvements.

Unfortunately I have to agree. There is absolutely no excuse for such a long wait from them stating something is coming (patterns) to whenever it actually arrives (more than a year waiting now). They haven't even started working out how to integrate patterns into the interface. I wish these developers would answer the simple question "why does everything you do take so long?".
