(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Yes, truly great stuff.Ivan_C wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 9:27 am I've just released two updates of my plug-ins The Great Escape and Spaceship Delay with VST3 / LV2 / CLAP formats for Linux![]()

A little request though... could the presets also put to ~/.config/Musical Entropy besides ~/.Musical Entropy? It's a new-ish standard that helps keeping the home folder tidy...
EDIT: and a little report... ctrl + drag does fine parameter tuning, while when changing BPM fine adjustments are done with shift instead of ctrl. Is this on purpose?

AudioMap Mini
https://audiomap.net/
is also for Linux (it support all 3 OS).
I tested it, it works on my Debian 12 Distro
System Requirements
--------------------
- Ubuntu 22.04+ or equivalent (glibc 2.35+)
- x86_64
- libcurl4 (usually preinstalled)
- VST3-compatible DAW (Bitwig, REAPER, Ardour, Renoise, etc.)
There is DEMO and Full Version for only 29$
Enjoy

An added bonus of keeping everything available in the home directory is that it allows DAWs that use Flatpak to have access to them.mabian wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 11:22 amA little request though... could the presets also put to ~/.config/Musical Entropy besides ~/.Musical Entropy? Sure, but in this case it's already there. I'm asking to use the .config subfolder, instead of having the "Musical Entropy" folder right below the home.audiojunkie wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 1:06 pmAn added bonus of keeping everything available in the home directory is that it allows DAWs that use Flatpak to have access to them.mabian wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 11:22 amA little request though... could the presets also put to ~/.config/Musical Entropy besides ~/.Musical Entropy? Here is a thing I'm currently building. Not strictly Linux, but cross-platform and possibly fun messing with:

Note sure yet where this is heading exactly...

That looks pretty interesting. Analyzing Audio could be very helpful für Producer Sample makers of any kind. Also for Dj's.bnz wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 6:13 pm Here is a thing I'm currently building. Not strictly Linux, but cross-platform and possibly fun messing with:

Thanks everybody for your comments!

Nice catch! The next version will have the ctrl + drag for the fine changes on the BPM label, and the settings folder changemabian wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 11:22 amYes, truly great stuff.Ivan_C wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 9:27 am I've just released two updates of my plug-ins The Great Escape and Spaceship Delay with VST3 / LV2 / CLAP formats for Linux![]()

From Sixth Samples, whom I nagged
"I actually have been planning on releasing native Linux versions some time in the not too distant future to fix the Wine issues once and for all that way. I figured it would be easier to take the time to do proper Linux versions rather than trying to fight the updates that come to Wine/JUCE/all the other technologies involved.
I can't unfortunately say for sure yet when it's going to happen, but it is coming."

I found and reported an Issue i found in AudioMap, where large amount of Samples can freeze my System. We talk about 10.000's of Samples and sizes around 2 Digits of Gigs.

Yeah, considering that I have about 350 GB of samples, that might be a problem for me too.NWSM wrote: Wed Feb 18, 2026 7:55 pmI found and reported an Issue i found in AudioMap, where large amount of Samples can freeze my System. We talk about 10.000's of Samples and sizes around 2 Digits of Gigs.

Maybe it could be a System not a Plugin related Issue. AudioMap tested with around 25000 Samples without* issues. I keep on testing. Anyways AudioMap will measure how the Plugin is working on large amount of Samples. And a BETA was dropped...fast guyaudiojunkie wrote: Wed Feb 18, 2026 8:57 pmYeah, considering that I have about 350 GB of samples, that might be a problem for me too.NWSM wrote: Wed Feb 18, 2026 7:55 pmI found and reported an Issue i found in AudioMap, where large amount of Samples can freeze my System.
