Sure, but I guess I don't get very excited by plugins because I can buy 3rd party plugins. I can't buy 3rd party Logic workflow features. (And I can't take Logic's plugins and use them elsewhere.)

They've been working on really awesome non-AI features and new additions, so just hang on for a bit.
Well, that's really, really great news if true. And I agree that the version number bump is part of Logic's image problem at the moment. But my personal frustration is that they haven't shown any substantial innovation in workflow in several years. Even if this version was called 10.9.5, I would still be asking where the new workflow features are.

Workflow ideas from me for future Logic versions that might or might not ever happen:
a) separate view but still part of project for mastering, basically collapse the main track into a master:related audio that is done with its own CPU load.
b) Arrangement top level view so I could drag chorus and break parts to any place as a single operation.
c) Collapse the whole Live Loops into the track view (like Bitwig)
d) Plugin view in bottom with all plugins shown for direct editing without separate windows.
e) Smarter hints about issues related to the final mix, like too much low-end and suggestions how to fix it, or something similar like NI's Tonal Balance Control.

I'm sure there's more but this was a two-minute dump. I would rather see this than all this 'player tools' for hand-helding, they produce something but it's very bland compared with having to learn to play an instrument and get something unique out from this.

If someone actually had insider knowledge of what's coming, we'd be seeing lawsuits and firings from Apple over violations of NDA's.

Again, no one is complaining about new features. Even if they are stupid (AI session players), we can just not use them. We are complaining that Apple's lowly Logic Pro development team is choosing to do these things and not fix workflow problems that have been heavily requested by users for decades!

a) you mean instead of bouncing the fully mixed multi-track to a stereo track for final mastering in a new Project? that could be interesting.

b) not sure what you mean here

c) Yes, AND easily move back and forth between the two. It's so clunky and confusing as it is, I never use it. Meanwhile, the Scenes/clip launcher workflow in Bitwig looks dreamy.

d) Yeah, the effect rack in Bitwig (or Ableton Live) workflow here is so far superior than Smart Controls. I've always wondered if this is something that Bitwig and Ableton do automatically, or if it is coded by the developer?

e) meh. like you said, there are superior 3rd party projects, often free. I'd rather them focus on improving anything on Page 1 and these other ideas first.

and I will also add:

f) improve automation workflow
