Version 1.6.1 - Released Nov 28th 2025
Version 1.6.2 - Released Dec 4th 2025
Version 1.6.3 - Released Dec 8th 2025
Version 1.6.4 - Released Dec 13th 2025
Actually, from my observation, Sononym has a slow updated cycle, once a year. Every November or so, they release a new version. These rapid updates were hotfix updates, out of the norm. I would not expect anything new from them until November 2026.

SonikSearch is where it's at. It had an update recently and is now like Synonym + ADSR + XO + Atlas all in one, and the performance is smooth. Plus, I can run it as a VST/AU and sync it with my DAW so the loops play in time with the other loops in my DAW so I get a sense of how the sample might fit in with my project.

Looks incredible. Surprised there's not more buzz around this one.

SonikSearch does look interesting but I'm not entirely sure what it gives me over the free ADSR that I use at the moment. I may be convinced if I could demo it but there's no demo. They say that they offer a 14 day refund policy but I'd prefer to have the money stay with me for 14 days while I demo it rather than have to ask for it back.

Soniksearch does look good. I've been considering Audiomap Mini but I'm wondering if Soniksearch is worth triple the price. I have a fairly large sample library and ADSR can be sluggish sometimes. A demo would be helpful, especially considering there is not much discourse out there about it.

Just in case anyone else was wondering and couldn't find it immediately too: https://sonikstation.com/soniksearch.html

Looks interesting and a demo would have indeed been helpful.

Can you navigate with the arrow keys on the QWERTY keyboard?
If so can "arrow right" trigger and more importantly retrigger (while the sample plays) a sample?

I hate i.e. the behaviour of Bitwigs browser where right arrow triggers but also stops the sample preview when it´s pressed again while the sample is still playing...

soniksearch isn't available for Windows if anyone is interested.

Thanks, I wouldn't have caught that if you didn't mention it. Guess I'm going with Audiomap!

They ARE working on a solution for that though...

Why is this thread in Effects? Shouldn't it be in the "Samplers, Sampling and Sample Libraries" forum?

Useful thread, but couldn't find it when I needed it.

As a Sononym user from the beginning days, I can’t wait to try this out. It seems to do everything Sononym does, but better because it has a plug-in version for in daw use. Sononym is promising that for years and are still working on it. If this program is as good as I think it is it might replace Sonomym completely!

So the Windows version of SonikSearch has been released, that's cool: https://sonikstation.com/soniksearch.html
If anyone has any impression of the software, that'd be great.

Should not DAWS have great sample management just essentially baked in at this juncture?

Currently, I'm not using alot of samples, so dunno. I can understand, if someone has 300,000 samples, management would be meaningful. This stuff is interesting.
