Haha that mantube animation, what a stupid distraction, even if I lost my last braincell I wouldn't spend 79 Usd on a fuzz.pedal plugin.pekbro wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 8:13 pm IMO this is one of the weirder and better fuzz plugins I've tried. But generally I'm not going to use SW for fuzz myself (at least not on guitars). I do have this since I bought their bundle. I use it on drums a lot.

I bought it during BF, $50 for the bundle, their stuff is really good imo, you can disable the animations too. As for fuzz pedals, I have a stupid num of them, my fav is from Fairfield Circuitry. I don't use IK stuff, so no Tonex, I prefer boutique tube amps myself.DCrown wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 8:19 pmHaha that mantube animation, what a stupid distraction, even if I lost my last braincell I wouldn't spend 79 Usd on a fuzz.pedal plugin.pekbro wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 8:13 pm IMO this is one of the weirder and better fuzz plugins I've tried. Anyway, it's too bad Raccoon doesn't do demos... it does have a speaker sym in it.

Ive ordered a TC Electronic Honey Pot Fuzz for £30.
Checked out some demos and it sounds good enough, Im a cheapskate not a tonechaser.
I just want some of that thick creamy muff

The fact Audio Damage released their huge back catalogue is just Mwah
Same with Ohmforce, they shouldnt have removed Fromage just because they upgrade it
But I digress
Thank you dudes

Id heard about this, then forgot the name so couldnt search for it but just came across it again randomly.
A set of plugins to search and load NAM profiles all within the comfort of your DAW.
The StompBrowser comes with a ton of Fuzz models.
The PreBrowser Im finding super buggy and just stops working almost straight away

I gotta say I would love that Jack White pedal in a plugin format. It sounds really good from what I've heard.

This one sounds like I want a fuzz to sound.pekbro wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 10:47 pm Another weirdly interesting (imo) fuzz plugin, win only tho...
*It's not about animation either, that's just a coincidence.

that's been my experience too. fuzz sits in a weird place because so much of what makes a real pedal work is the interaction between the transistors and the input impedance of whatever's coming in. that circuit context is really hard to model statically. the ones that actually nail it tend to be doing some kind of reactive/dynamic modelling rather than just clipping curves.MattR321 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 12:34 pm I find Fuzz is one of the most difficult things to get right in the box. Even a cheap 30$ fuzz pedal will sound better (in my eyes)

Does sound nice but sounds closer to metal distortion than grungey fuzz to me
My £30 pedal should be here any day soon
