I thought this might be interesting but it's a complete waste of time. He doesn't give us any information on specs and he's using a 10 year old version of Windows that's no longer supported by Microsoft and wonders why he gets f**ked around. And he calls 30% higher CPU usage on macOS "slightly more". I'd hate to see what it takes for him to see it as significantly more.
I can only assume you don't use your computer for anything but I rely on mine to earn a living. For that it needs to be able to run industry-standard software applications, pretty much none of which run on Linux. Even with Studio Pro, you are massively limited in which plugins you can use, so you end up allowing your operating system, whose main job is to allow you to run the software applications you want/need to use, to determine your choice of applications. That's really f**king stupid if you ask me.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 11:41 amIt might not suit your workflow but it works perfect for me so i have no regrets with my decision to move away from Windows
I can't think of a more different DAW to Studio Pro than Bitwig, so it's not even a reasonable replacement for your preferred DAW. It's a classic example of the tail wagging the dog.
