If AI replaces musicians, does the entire plugin industry die with them?

AI is not a method it is the purest form of destruction.
That is exactly what the devil is known for, he creates the illusion to support you,
whereas his real goal is the opposite.

You last post shows a disgusting side of you.

Deep learning is just a tool like a hammer. You can use a hammer to build furniture or to kill someone. You can use deep learning to research better antibiotics or to make slop memes.

Oh yes maybe rotten memory, it is not your mic I can tell for sure, it is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone, I might not be an artist or musician, but I know what mic is the best for someone. Mic is the most important tool for a singer.wagtunes wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 12:13 pmYou know, you really have a rotten memory. You already asked me and I already told you. If you give someone a hammer to build furniture, but he never learned how to build furniture, the result could be destructive rather than creative.Zeisner wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 3:05 pmDeep learning is just a tool like a hammer. More and more will use AI to produce music, although they know nothing about creating music, arrangement, composing, instruments, mixing, the result will not be something creative, just some noise created by AI. Will everyone do it? Maybe not everyone in the next 20 years, in 50 years probably everyone, cuz everyone will grow up with AI, if AI are your roots, AI is all you know to use.

There will be no AI anymore in 50 years because the industrial civilization will have collapsed by then. This is based on a MIT study from the 70s and researchers keep confirming: Yes, we're on track. No industry, no AI.DCrown wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 5:15 pm Maybe not everyone in the next 20 years, in 50 years probably everyone, cuz everyone will grow up with AI, if AI are your roots, AI is all you know to use.

Classic, redundant tech-bro sales pitch.
So far, most AI applications in the medical field have failed or had very minimal impact, focusing mainly on reducing research costs or being quicker to manage patient files, and that's about it. Wow, what a great revolution. On the other hand, AI is pretty prolific and excels at producing very very useful slop for the humanity, like Michael Jackson dancing in a Burger King or Jesus riding a lobster.

how hard is it to accept that you can´t control what is smarter then you?
why is it that people coming to the point, so rarely?
From what experts said, there is no way yet to measure if a ai is concious, somehow.
Besides that, ai showed already it's evil side.
why is it so hard to accept that ai might be dangerous and not helpful for human civilisation?
Which more proofs do you need?
When you use ai (except running it local on own server), then you have to pay for it.
This money (or data) is helping to train ai - more huge data centers are getting built with the only purpose to make ai smarter.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Can you tell the difference? Do you know how scientists use deep learning?
This is non-scientific usage. Stupid managers jumping on the hypetrain, not knowing what type of data they need, how much data they need, if they can use an existing model or if they have to write one from scratch. You need top notch experts to do all of that and they're extremely rare. Keep in mind that this is interdisciplinary, you can't just use people who are experts in one field, they often need to be experts in two or more fields and have solid knowledge in the other required fields too.Neon Breath wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 5:52 pm So far, most AI applications in the medical field have failed or had very minimal impact, focusing mainly on reducing research costs or being quicker to manage patient files, and that's about it.

"Humans can figure stuff out. Learning by doing."
Imagine you will be born in 25 years. There is ai music mainly. You want to produce music, too, you will use ai. What to learn? How to tell ai what new song you want ai to produce? Done within 20 seconds. What's your next challenge? you spend less than a minute and have a lot of free time maybe thinking whether you should jump from a bridge, a skyscraper or inject some poisin, cuz it all feels so empty?! Just a dark scenario, maybe this emptiness will turn into something good, who knows...

If you're born around 2050 you will be busy with gathering food and water in 2070. Music will be a luxury. The only AIs which might still be around would be the military ones but they would fall apart because there's nobody around anymore to build, fix and control them. The knowledge and skill to do so would be lost. Go to a university where they teach computer science and ask the students if they can still program in COBOL. Or convert MB to kb without looking it up. Forget it.
An AI that can't even make nintendopop, that can't even replicate the hardcoded noise sample of the NES. Sure.DCrown wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 6:54 pm How to tell ai what new song you want ai to produce? Done within 20 seconds.
