That sounds like a Roger Waters/Pink Floyd song title.

That's not something I thought of, but I can see it now :)

Thanks for this. I have just noted that I need 4 more posts before it will become active.
I am new here and still finding my way around.

But the site and samples can be found at

I am hoping to post more over the next few days, then all should be good and proper

It is well-pleasing to find a plugin crafter with taste and discernment.

I would recommend you up the resolution on your plugin screenshots, some of the text is illegible, even with one's monocle in place.
A well-behaved signature.

Snootiest plugins I've ever encountered!

Thank you. We hope to be a little different in every shape and form. I will look into increasing the resolution of the screenshots. We are going for load speed in the first instance, but always looking for ways to improve :)

The Gentleperson would do well think of players like John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, and Jeff Beck when using this plugin. Those looking for the new classic metal tones will no doubt be disappointed.

There is no denying that Cravat follows the topologies of the classic guitar amplifiers; the similarities end there.

Cravat initially boasts 2 compressors, followed by the preamp section.

The preamp contains 4 discreetly voiced gain stages, and 2 pre-eq’s to tailor how the next stage reacts.

The Drive section is where the Cravat properly introduces something new. After the 2 drive stages, which can be used in parallel or series, the second stage also supports odd-order harmonics. The next part is where it blossoms. Inter tight, Inter Q and Comp are extremely expressive and will change the entire gain structure of the amplifier. They are versatile and never sound bad. A tilt eq has been added here, under request, but we find it a little too abrasive; to each their own.

The next section is where we will most maintain and update. The Type section is where the amps are stored. To encourage The Sonic Flâneur to act without prejudice, the amps are given unique names, like Peacock and Open Razor.

The next section is also unique to Cravat. Sweet is a sweetener that allows the Sonic Flâneur to dial in a parallel Q. Used gently, the Gentleperson can tune it to kiss the tone with a subtle mid-notch. Used liberally, new tones can be explored. An auto checkbox has been added under request, to sweep through the range and create a vocalesque augmentation.

Inspired from topologies elsewhere, a post drive has been added to give the tone an additional lift. Using this with the Bartitsu amp is its obvious place, but adding subtle gain to the other amps also rewards.

The EQ is, as one expects, but The Sonic Flâneur should be aware of just how much scope is influenced by the previous sections.

There is a high level of deliberation in the next section. Cabs and mics follow the Cravat principle of expecting The Sonic Flâneur to act without prejudice, but who wouldn’t want to use a cab called Tarquin or a mic sim called Crumpets? You can bypass them if you want to use an external cab-sim of your choosing. An ‘air’ control has been added, which acts like a filtered presence control. This has been influenced by the response of a transformer I have used for many years. Use as you see fit.

The last section is output. As requested, we have added a limiter. Much like the noise gate featured earlier, if you can get away without using it, all the better, but it could lead the Gentleperson to new and different tones.
