Even allowing for the fact that it's been forever since rock and roll artists are a majority of the nominees, this years set of nominees seems pretty meh to me. I saw that they had New Edition listed and had to look up that they had three hits and I kind of vaguely remember only one of them.

They should just go ahead and call it the Pop Hall of Fame.

Hell, decades ago Jethro Tull beat out Metallica for a Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance award at the Grammys.

I guess we should be happy that music gets celebrated at all.

I agree. It should be renamed the Pop Hall.

Oops, I misread it the first time and voted for the ones that should be inducted, but I've corrected that.

Anyway, how is it that household names with a laundry list of hits like Billy Idol and INXS are not inducted, while a bunch of one-hit wonders/artists nobody can even name have already been inducted. Whatever, does anybody really care about the RRHOF anyway?

If everyone is ‚special‘, no one is. For some of these people to get in along side the likes of Berry, Elvis, Beatles, Stones, Dylan, Hendrix, Floyd, Deep Purple and many others is a joke. They‘re not fit to be roadies for the Immortals.

It's a problem of math. There are only so many legends you can induct before you have to start inducting the greats, and then the pretty goods and then "well, they sold a lot of records".
