I get what you are saying, you wanna focus on your workflow, right? What you are used to doing, and having success with.

But these software makers, they must keep offering more, more, more... more! 8)

But maybe I have "enuff stuff"!

But still, I do enjoy, and look forward to exploring, the new features. It is just life, really!

Trolling or serious?
New genes cannot arise naturally.
Complex irreducible systems cannot evolve.
Abiogenesis is impossible, therefore evolution fails.

Each of those is a different discussion.

I won’t mock your position. But I also won’t dismiss decades of observed genetic research without looking at what is actually being claimed.

You obviously don’t have a clue about genetic research or evolutionary science

‘Complex irreducible systems’ no such thing

Genes don’t act by themselves. To be expressed, they require protein machinery — polymerases, ribosomes, tRNA synthetases, and so on. But that machinery is itself encoded in DNA and made of proteins.

So you end up with a mutual dependency:

Genes require proteins to function.
Proteins require genes to be built.

It's the egg or chicken first issue.

It’s similar to trying to explain a DAW that needs plugins to run — while those plugins require the DAW to exist first.

I’m not claiming that settles the entire debate. I’m pointing out that this creates a bootstrapping problem about how the first fully functional system got started.

If DNA needs proteins to work, and proteins need DNA to exist, what was the first step that broke that circular dependency (aka egg or chiken first) ?

I have no clue how genes as complex as they are can form themselves naturalistically from the ground up when chemistry at all levels fights against forming stable molecules for life - and no one, no one else does either when you push them on the fundamentals, asking the right questions, at the limits of current understanding, or these issues. It seems all those information in genes in DNA needs to exist all out once. You cannot have a body without genes that make it first. You cannot have a DAW without physical computer.

We all need humility, pride cometh before the faill. If you think you know a matter, you know it not as you ought.

Urantia book states that life patterns are the design of the Creator Son of the local (LOCAL!!!) universe. :hihi:

However, this "life plasm" is dead matter, until it is activated by the female universe energy. which is known as the Divine Minister.

Only when The Divine Minister breathes the "breath of life" into the life patterns... will anything happen! :hihi:  :hihi:

The Divine Minister is a personalized portion of the Conjoint Actor, or Infinite Spirit.

Conjoined Actor "creates a path for lightning".

So, God, if ya like.

So, subscription is the new way of breathing! :hihi:

The only thing the developers need to solve for me is the ability for X11 plugin guis to show up. Then I'd have very little reason not to buy it for Linux.

BONES wrote: Thu Feb 26, 2026 10:31 am I don't need new features, I'd prefer that existing features were refined and improved. We get a good amount of that in Studio Pro but stuff like a Session View and a new reverb are, to me, a waste of resources that could be put to better use. Unfortunately they need to keep growing the user base and existing users seem to want to get new things for their upgrade money, so I understand that compromises are necessary. But it does annoy the shit outta me.
I'm more in this camp too. Some areas could go from good to great, if they received a revisit and some polish.

One thing I've thought of lately, would be adding buttons on the main toolbar for the macro pages. I use them a lot and switching through the drop-down is pretty annoying.

OTOH, I don't use them at all and those buttons would just clutter my workspace for no benefit. It's hard to do things that please everyone.

Yeah, when there are six different camps, all thinking, "well, it's obvious this should be the next area of focus," it's probably not as easy a decision to make, as we all think, lol
