I am trying to make a synth that is really good with textures and ambient sounds...not so much a drone machine as something more for like...Vintage EP/Flute, Pads, and Soundscapes...

So far I have some some waveforms, wavetables, effects, and filters...

screenshots attached.

Here's what it sounds like:

I need suggestions for how to really make this sound polished as a synth, what is it missing?

Everything? An idea?
Why do you want to make it?
What are you missing in other synths fx combinations?
Why do your screenshots don't even give a hint what you try to achieve?
Is your UI aimed to scare potential users?

There are too many questions to be able to help out...

Looks very prototype. What do you want to achieve with it exactly?

:LOL! Those three words (and two question marks) would have been an awesome reply on their own. :hihi:

The synth you are describing is the dx7. It has already been made and remade and emulated and remade some more. The sounds you are describing are very close to being sine waves. You don't need to make a new synth to play sine waves into reverb.

Yeah, FM Synthesis...what else could I add? Effects? It has that too...maybe RM?

I like the audio demo.

As far as what it might be missing, that might come down to the fit & finish, the spit & polish, etc. I.e., getting the details right.
A well-behaved signature.

I made a sampler that can do some cool ambient sounds....and a cool synth that does some softer sort of instrument sounds....it can blend, morph, layer, reorder, sequence, etc the samples you throw in it, along with envelopes, vibrato, and tremolo....it's also got a built in reverb. It's called TreeSynth and it's a Native Plugin for the LingStation DAW but I might see if I can do a VST3/CLAP version

Ambience? A fantastic reverb with the option for really long tails (decay). And a quality delay.

Fm (phase modulation) with properly implemented bandpassed noise as a modulation source makes some very neat sounds.
