Whoops, a door creaks and the spray foams. Then a lovely glockenspiel
melody sounds. At least, that's the intro. Of course, now things really
get going: cello eighth notes bring in the groove and it becomes a full
orchestral affair. Even horns are used.

Overall, orchestral, rhythmic, and very varied – brilliantly done. This all
refers to your 11-year-old version "Last Adventure for a Pirate King?"

It's so great that I don't think you can top it. But who knows? Anyway:
Superb, brilliantly done! :tu:

Hey Mark, great stuff as always. One of the musical heroes of KVR.

I wanted to ask you, What orchestral library did you use for this?

I remember this one too, Jim Lad. It's a perfect piece of movie scoring to accompany Messrs. Depp and co. buckling their swashes, or possibly even something from an earlier cinematic period.

Arrrrr.

Good work :)

Has a full-story arc contained within one track. Excellent work.
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

Wow, so good. I'm embarrassed at my feeble attempts at orchestrating stuff with my dorky Kontakt instruments. Made me want to brandish a saber. (which would probably lead to an eye patch in short time)

''Door creaks'' - that's the ship in the wind and on the waves! :help: :help: :help: I recorded that SFX...it's actually a little rowboat on a local lake!

Orch Lib = Spitfire Audio's ALBION ONE.

Old one / not available any more / nice raw sound & not 'perfect'...few very minor tuning issues etc which add an edge of 'real' / quite straightforward sounds - high n low strings / woodwind / brass + good percussion + a few other extras / easy to program a little 'motion' into the sound / No solo instruments and quite limited on articulations compared to some libraries, but it just works to my ear!

Yeah, it's not really the library. It's what a master can do with it. One day, you need to teach me how to orchestrate the way you do.

Very engaging with great use of sounds and virtual orchestra. I like how the vibes and woodwinds contrast with the strings. The pizzicato part that leads to the woodwind and brass counterpoint is a nice interlude as well leading up to the choir section. This could be a soundtrack for a movie about Napolean.

Can only be positive that you remember it! Actually it could easily be negative in some cases, thinking about it!
