Ok
I am new here and only keep checking for sales, freebies and tips, but I also posted this on reddit on some audio subs =
Hello people
Today something really offensive and bad happened
I made the mistake of buy Mixcrap (mixcraft) on a steam sale a while ago and I did not pay much attention due to other work stuff (non audio related, I am just a hobbyst) as the Steam page says it would work on Windows 64 or 32 bits, I assumed the program would allow 64 bit VST plugins that are pretty much standard from a long time ago
And Mixcraft from Steam ? It only runs as 32 bits, making it impossible to run anything decent and pretty much any good recent plugins (even free ones)
And I decided to go Mixcraft facebook page and complain about the low quality of the app and the fact that the Steam page leads buyers to buy something different than what the page says and demanded that they would update (fix) the Steam version or make it clear that the program would not run 64 bits plugins.
The garbage company deleted my comments and blocked me from even seeing their page
So take care when buying anything from shitty companies that bans buyers from social media when you just want to make them to provide what you bought
First attached image is the facebook page using the account they blocked
Second image I went to their page and post using other account to make sure it was not a facebook problem
Tks

Tried some of the 'mixcrafts' in the past but not very impressed as they were originally audio only then added MIDI later on which often don't work out well... I have seen where some like mixcraft but I still can't figger why...

The big issue was their attitude regarding consumer complaineLawnMust wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:42 pm Tried some of the 'mixcrafts' in the past but not very impressed as they were originally audio only then added MIDI later on which often don't work out well... Behavior like this is not something acceptable at all, starting with their Steam store page stating the program is 64 bit and its not really, and they also abandoned Steam support while still sell an outdated version there
If they at least stated there the program is incompatible with 64 bit plugins, ok but the page leads people to buy something that does not work as they tell there.
And even newer versions that are 64 bits they crash with heavy plugins (I tested with Mixcraft 10), like some VSTs from Cubase (I got Cubase 14 here with Splice) that runs fine with Reaper and even Prosonus Studio One that I got bundled with their interface.... And if I launch Retrologue for an example, Mixcraft 9 or 10 (that are proper 64 bit programs) those plugins also crash
The only "decent" thing in Mixcraft are some samples, loops and some bundled VSTs inside it, so I moved their VSTs to my VST folder and I am using some ok instruments like NiN official drum pack, but the program is garbage and the company even more...

Well, it's too late for me. I bought Mixcraft 9 Recording Studio (the middle version of Home/Recording/Pro) in a Humble Bundle with a bunch of loop packs, and upgraded to the Pro version a week later. Later I upgraded to Mixcraft 10 Pro.
Sorry to hear about your experience, but I do wonder if you brought up the issue politely with them, or went in with guns blazing from the start.

I commented a facebook post and they ignored so I e replied again and said about low quality and the fact they abandoned users who paid them
And Steam page is a prove of that: They never updated or fixed the program there and never replied users in the discussion
Pretty much even some U$ 1 indie games we see their devs talking to people on the page
And Mixcraft still have issues loading any heavy plugins
I installed v10 to test and stuff from UJAM does not load at all while other DAWs (even cheaper and more complete) run them fine, even Studio One loads any heavy plugin within seconds....

Mixcraft has worked very well for me.Been using for a few years.Like most things it puts out what someone is able to put into it. Some don't have the ability to learn the specs and just give up.It all takes time regardless of the DAW.

The problem was it won't host x64 plug ins (I'm amazed there's a host that doesn't in 2026) but you took a shot at someone's integrity you don't know, out of the blue?

Well, I hate to say it, but your first mistake was buying Mixcraft through Steam.

I haven't had any problems with the program running 64 bit... The index is better than alot of daws but really being able to add documentation and subfolders would be nice for most daws out there..
