Hornet plugins constant email spam. Unsubscribe not working

Agreed, daily mails were quite annoying. Hence I unsubscribed a few months ago and I am no longer receiving them. Maybe you did something wrong when unsubscribing? Maybe there is an additional step after clicking on unsubscribe in the emails. I wanted to have a look and clicked again on unsubscribe in one of the older mails I still have but it says "no data", so unsubscribing indeed worked very well. I am not 100% sure but I think once I unsubscribed in the past from a company newsletter and was confronted with italian text and some webform to fill out where I guessed what to click and it worked out. Maybe you guys having problems were in a similar situation when unsubscribing and you did not complete the process.

The unsubscribe didn't work for me either. I banged it in spam, but some of them slip through the filter despite all coming from the same address. It's a non-primary account so not too assed about it, but still a bit mythed as to why the unsubscribe button doesn't do what it claims to do for some including myself

In no way shape or form did I ever start this thread to "help" anybody. It was a 100% selfish thread where I ASKED FOR HELP in getting this issue killed and buried once and for all.

Well, I agree with you on one thing which is calling out bullshit. And that’s exactly what I did on this thread. Spam is a relatively trivial issue that most of us experience every day and have learned to deal with. To threaten legal action because of spam just seems WAY over the top to me (bullshit). None of what I’ve said is strawman. You make some good comments from time to time and I agree with a lot of them. My overall point here is that you have a habit of attacking people when it’s totally unwarranted. Your over-the-top response to Saverio on this thread is an example of that.

Spam isn't a trivial issue. It is literally illegal. Companies should operate within the legal boundaries.

And basically every company let me unsubscribe without any issues. Regardless of size. All modern mailing systems have this function built in perfectly. Its not an excuse.

The amount of mails from Hornet plugins is a hell of a lot, haven't seen another plugin company sending so much (daily or sometimes a couple times a day).

It has really put me off buying, and generally move them straight to the bin.

this is goo to bring up, this needs to be addressed, in the end Hornet should be thankful people report this, can only help him change the marketing strategy and not loose potential customers, if not then maybe he looses more but then he knows his numbers better than us, maybe this aggressive marketing is succesful, but then this shouldnt be tolerated by people who doesnt want these mails anymore. so anyone saying, no problem just mark as spam, imagine more companies do that and steal my time and nerves for such crap. no way acceptable

I just want to say that I've never had a problem with Hornet plugins not working, and I unsubscribed from the email list years ago without ever receiving any mail after that.
