Yeah, I think it's inevitable. I'd imagine the biggest hurdle is how to make something really big and flexible while not eating into the market of its existing effects.

Kikohearts and Xfer are able to do it because their effects are relatively simple on their own, but Minimal's effects (ironically) have a lot more going on. Not to mention that Rift is already a multi-effects unit. So the challenge is how to either simplify the effects or make it different enough from the existing products. Quite an endeavor imo!
