Hi Danilo,Danilo Villanova wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 10:41 am I'm finding that most patches are causing crackling and CPU issues in this version while GUI is open. Didn't use to happen before. Extremely annoying if this is what it took to make parameters automatable. CPU seems to have doubled on my machine. Sadly I'm going to need to roll back.
Thank you for flagging. Could you share some info on this (e.g. system)?
Does anyone else experience this?

Yes, and it’s awful. My CPU meter looks fine, but after 2-3 instances of Massive X running, the crackling is nearly 100%. I’ll try to get some video.tobias_NI wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 12:32 pmHi Danilo,Danilo Villanova wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 10:41 am I'm finding that most patches are causing crackling and CPU issues in this version while GUI is open. Yea, Windows 11, REAPER 7, potato laptop (i5, 8GB RAM). Its worse when the GUI is open, especially in Edit mode. It didn't use to get that bad before. Now most presets cause dropouts, before it was only a few heavy pads that did. Once I close the GUI it becomes playable, but it's annoying.tobias_NI wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 12:32 pmHi Danilo,Danilo Villanova wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 10:41 am I'm finding that most patches are causing crackling and CPU issues in this version while GUI is open. Yes, I can confirm the PM knob is bugged if no macro assigned. Crackles a lot when turned fast by mouse.Daru925 wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2026 11:21 pm Can anyone confirm that pm is bugged?
Turn the PM knobs without any macro or enveloppe attached and it behaves strangely.
Attach a macro and the modulation is smooth and easy to dial in.

Another confirmation on the behavior of PM1/PM2 knobs. That's definitely a regression in 1.7.

So is there a way to manage and organize user/third party presets yet?

Not directly - but you can in Komplete Kontrol which seems to be intended to be NI's patch manager for everything. Any banks created in that will also show in Massive X - see thread here:SeeingInMidi wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 9:21 pm So is there a way to manage and organize user/third party presets yet?

Yeah, 1.7 is unusable for me too but to be fair my CPU sucks. They should really offer installer for previous versions.
