So it's not free.
I mean, without the integrated processing, what's left? That said, it sounds cool. But I'm presuming that it's very barebones as an editor and automation-wise.

What jamcat said. Also, although Luna does not require a UAD Apollo interface, it is very nicely integrated with them. It's become my go-to for tracking and processing vocals and other live instruments.

The remaining three are my most requested features as well.jens wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 1:43 pm ...five most requested ones were:
- folder-tracks
- hardware-inserts
- better comping
- ARA support
- a proper piano-roll
Two of these were the main new features of the V2 update, so they are clearly working their way through this list.![]()

Like I said, it’s mainly for live recording, not editing. It supports VST3 plugins (and AU on Mac.) Yes it supports automation.
But it really is meant for UA’s customers. You can use it with just 3rd party plugins, but the tape and analogue summing slots can only be filled with the proprietary LUNA processors (which are included when you buy or sub the standard VST3/AU plugins.)

Does Luna have curvature between automation breakpoints? I can't find anything on this so I'm under the impression it's not possible atm, unless drawn in manually which is a ballache. Hope I'm wrong.Uncle E wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 11:08 pmAutomation is strong, editor is weak.ampetrosillo wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 8:11 pm But I'm presuming that it's very barebones as an editor and automation-wise.

I am starting to get more worried than excited now... the last update has been released four months ago, while until now the longest span in Luna's whole history between two releases has been two months and a couple of days...

No - I would say automation is still pretty basicTeezdalien wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 9:04 amDoes Luna have curvature between automation breakpoints?
