Not true.
Largo 2 can't do release velocity as a mod source, while V1 can.
It's the reason I didn't update.

tbh, I do not know of any other synth which can do this.

Here's a good place to start (for hardware): https://gearspace.com/board/showpost.ph ... tcount=310
If I update that list again, I'll have to add Sequential Prophet T8. I forgot that one.

Some softsynths I have that use release velocity are -
Arturia Matrix 12V,
Jup-8000 V,
SEM V3,
Synclavier V,
and Synthx V.

Korg Modwave and Multipoly.
Moog Mariana.
N.I. Massive X.
Steinberg Halion.
Waldorf Largo1.

I'm sure there are many others, but those are some of the ones that I have and use
that have release velocity as a mod source.

I love largo but the new GUI is really off puting. Looks horrible and cheap, not good vector design as Valhalla.

The microwave plugin looks way better.
dedication to flying

Can I just openly question Waldorf's dedication to any thing other than that salad that they make, you guyz have heard of it, right?,

Walnuts, mayo...    But about the software, I mean not totally confident about their commitment here. :?: :?: Also, the colour choices for the GUI were poor from the beginning. Grey & white, beautiful for clothes, not so good for contrast on a desktop application. No, not even really.

I have got to add that it does sound pretty fat assed, Oh yeah...it has some bitch'n filters alright. I said this before, in older threads. I know they are digital, but can you tell? So what even...those filters are juicy & creamy. Some folks will say..."well, that is all that matters, the GUI, or the Operating System...well that is unimportant, just a means to run the synth, to get the sound."

Disagree, GUI is really important to me, and it is struggling.

The hardware has always appealed to me. The tabletop Microwave, from awhile back was awesome. Modern synths like the Q look really robust and well constructed, giving Grizzellda a feeling of confidence. I look forward to purchasing one at some point, finances willing.  Kinda expensive!

It is ridiculous they request so much personal information from you, including living adres and phone number, when you request a demo.

And what about Nave?

Anyone got something creative, or just like...reasonably useful, to add here? :hihi:

Anyone at all??? :hihi: 8) :hihi: 8)

Because Grizzellda prolly wasted some $$$ on that "excuse for a synthesizer"...and yeah, just gotta roll with it. But still, I will remain open minded with it, but still... :hihi:

LUV Largo's filters, nice FAT sound.

Nave is awesome and very underrated - amazingly deep additive 4D wavetable editor and modulation options are also very good - I think many people have not fully explored this

Post

Alright, I appreciate your reply. I have not explored it at the level that you are suggesting. Perhaps I have been premature. I will give it a good look at some point. What would actually instill some confidence in Grizzellda, would be if I felt that they were really committed to these products, which I feel are quite frankly pretty good! But not really feeling that commitment...refer to earlier post.

Yes their software development and quality control has always been somewhat haphazard but take it as it is and it's a fine synth and quite original

Microwave 1 and Blofeld received two updates each soon after they were released. Attack 3 hasn't had an update yet but the current version is 3.30, which I guess means it was updated several times while in beta.

where the reviewer writes that it has been updated

https://www.amazona.de/test-waldorf-att ... r-plug-in/

more modulations, better lfo's....

Post

Yes, Attack 3 is a completely new engine.
