I like the Stereo effect that can be applied to the modulation targets. It gives it a lot of dimension to the sound. Vital has something like that. In Serum can be done to some extent but with deeper control of the results.SLiC wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 6:02 pmYeh, its definitely one to watch - For me at this stage, the FX are pretty vanilla and I need some convincing that the Ultra Oscillator can do things other synths can't (I probably need to understand it for that!) but I am open and will keep 'listening'.liquidsound wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 5:02 pm I'm sure things are coming in the near future and the updates are free![]()

I hope not. That would be a deal breaker. I hate online stores being built into synthesizers.DrGonzo wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 6:35 am As far as I can see, the only way to publish your own sounds is through the developer. Is this correct?

Price is too high and too many phone home "gotchas". Hard pass.

Let's see...this synth allows you to configure up to nine discrete multi waveform oscillators per voice. With cross modulation, waveform morphing/folding/stretching/multiplying/stepping/pulse width modulation. You can pitch the separate (multi-waveform) sub oscillator to any octave/semi-tone range you like...essentially using it as a tenth oscillator...with variable harmonics saturation control. Plus, it has a dedicated mono/stereo noise source with hi/low filtration and resonance.
That's not nothing.

Hi,
imho I first liked the "Ultrawave" (really unique feature) philosophy but, after spending some time with it, I was fully enchanted by the sound you can take out of it with such a minimum effort: I already own a lot of other synths (including Arturia collections, Korg, Cherry Audio, Falcon, Komplete 13, all Acustica VSTi etc.. and of course Omnisphere which, dealing with sound inspiring patches, is my "go to" choice...at least until now).
I know that there are still a lot of stuff which can be added to this synth but its workflow together with the stereo sound presence is really amazing!
Really god job!

Clever use of tabs. Wish more synths adopted this design.

Based on the comments from the dev about file system how does the preset system work? Can you not just save presets to your ssd?.
I have too many synths as is but quite interested in this but would want to be able to save locally and not have my patches uploaded anywhere (not that they are stellar or anything).

I think in many cases the account is the copy protection now-a days.Vortifex wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 11:02 am Can I download a demo without having to sign up for yet another fecking account?
Interestingly with the account you dop get the free credits to buy pre-set for the (demo) ultra which is cool to try some more sounds and the pre-set system/shop.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

This is an incredible synth, everything about it, including their business model from explanation sound design plus access to the individual sound designer's, this is a major move, & how it allows everyone to benefit and access it + getting new sounds, the whole thing is just chef's kiss.
great stuff
