One of my fav songs by P. Rogers Nelson, a cover version testing mics together with my new AI robot girl Cosima haha Pre-Mix only, no time for decent mastering.
Recorded at Prince's fav studio outside Minneapolis.

I think she sounds great but shame on you for using AI. LMAO. Only kidding. Anyway, you did a great job on a great song.

Guess what instruments and plugins I used?
E-piano is Yamaha S90.

Yeah, Yamaha S80 and S90 were/are great, S80 even had better keys, I will get S80 soon in exchange, had it years ago. The feel or playability is something between a real piano and organ, very special.
Also used Zebra2 and Atlas on this track and Lexicon reverb, Valhalla delay and I recorded at Sunset Sound Studio 3 room (The Prince studio) without having had to fly to LA thanks to IK Multimedia haha
I am not going to buy their new release though, cuz the first version works great for me, of course not on every song, but on a Prince cover it is a must.
Btw the Lexicon reverbs are the only reverbs that tame and smoothen a voice, her voice was very powerful and dynamic, sometimes use it on my voice too.Do you have the Lexicon native plugins?
Mic is AKG C12.
Haha just listened again, at 3:08 are my background vocals, I am always surprised how similar to Prince they sound, learned a lot from him, the secret of his background vocals are to sing them a bit out of tune, the opposite of autotune haha The most stupid plugin ever released.
Try the Lexicon random hall or vintage plate on your vocals!
