The oldest plugin(s) I still use a lot are
RBass and RComp.
Renaissance Bundle was released in early 2000!

Instrument I think it is Sylenth1 or Xpand2, not sure what is older, though. Sylenth gets not as much use as Xpand2, though.

Google tells me:
Sylenth1 was officially released by LennarDigital on September 27, 2006, as a polyphonic virtual analog VSTi synthesizer for Windows.

Xpand!2 by AIR Music Technology was released as part of the Pro Tools 8 upgrade, with its updated features noted around July 2010

What about you?

The Steinberg VB-1 virtual bass plugin was originally released in the late 1990s as one of the first virtual instruments (VSTi) bundled with Steinberg Cubase

And you still use it? Probably some upgraded version.

Omg, Zebra 1.0: December 2003.
Was it the same dev ? He must have been a child/teen
when he developed it.
Didn't know Zebra is that old .
Still use Zebra 2 and Zebra 3 beta.

Eventide ultra channel! It’s had some GUI updates but still sounds as awesome as it did way back in the 2010s when I found it. The micropitch section is golden for vocals and guitars. It goes back to 32 bit so I have no clue when it was originally released. Also the Pultec Pro Legacy from UAD still sounds amazing.

I feel like a lot of the best plugins have been around for a long time already. Outside of GUI updates we have probably peaked a while ago as far as sound goes. Now it’s a matter of workflow, GUI improvements and quality of life updates IMO.

The Sonnox Oxford EQ and Oxford Dynamics were originally on the Sony Oxford OXF-R3 console from the mid 90s.

Krakli Cygnus unless Reaper's plugins are older.

Soon I'll fire up my XP computer (reserved for the old programs that do not run on the newer stuff) and can use all the old stuff again. (some of them must be from the '90s) In this modern Reaper setup I still like to use Tweakbench's Grumblebum from time to time. I think it was released around 2006 or so?

I probably use some other 32 bit plugins here and there too and they are older than that, but I don't feel like Googling their release date. (the AI answers can be all over the place)

Waves Rbass for life!

Still like using Synth1. 2002 I believe. Great it made it to 64 bit. Couple it up with Synth1 Librarian by Nutrino Sky and enjoy finding searchable presets from the many many banks that have been released.

What OS you're on? Windows XP? :hihi:

I still have the SimulAnalog plugins from I like 2003 or so installed, not used them for years though.

Do I sense some sarcasm there? :D Could say same about MODO bass. Its engine has not been updated in like 10 years. V2 just added some more basses.
