Hi

Have you got your gear insured?

How much does it cost you?

What's with things that lose value with time?

The thing is, I'm away from home here and there and there's been quite a few robberies around here in the last time.

I was lucky, I only had my car-radio stolen (broken glass, echo indigo was also stolen, I forgot it in the car). But if someone gets inhere

Well, I'm from Slovenia and it's a bit different here (not much though).

The last insurance agent was PITA after I asked him about it, and the sum was over the top.

My and my wife's instruments are covered under our general home contents insurance and their value has been factored in to our overall insurance policy level. Here in Australia, unless you wish to insure your instruments separately (for example if they are expensive or rare), you don't even need to mention them in your policy - their included in the overall insurance value (which you choose yourself and they then sort out what the premium would be).

Oh, except my wife's violin. That 18th Century reconditioned Stradivarius is insured for a separate sum attached to the same policy, but that's 'cos it's a lot easier to replace a A$350 J&D strat than it is to replace a 250 year old piece of artisanship :D
