Side-Chain in Reaper nightmare as always with non native plugs...i like it tho, dont get me wrong, but Reaper man.. too much time fiddling around, the result is always analytical music/mixes after spending so much time trying to guess what´s going on with the plugin, learning it all over again.

the low frequency distortion note at heavier reduction is worth flagging to the dev if it hasn't been already. that kind of artefact at 6dB with clean mode on usually points to the detector circuit and the gain computer not being fully decoupled, so the detection is reacting to the same frequencies it's reducing. DC8C has always been a benchmark for transparent ballistics at low frequencies so the comparison is fair.

You can save an FX chain ready with side-chain already set up and recall it quickly as a template... but... REAPER is not for everybody, needs smart people to explout its potential - sorry, if you say side-chain is a nightmare in REAPER there must be something going on...
