looking to get a certain drum sound

i guess it can be described as an abstract hip hop type sound. i've tried using bfd's 8 bit kit, but i can't seem to get it down with it so i was thinking of seeking out some samples. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

To me it sounded like a regular acoustic kit ran through a band pass filter and some type of distortion.

Yeah, that just acoustic kit samples, through too much compression.
