I just bought the Icarus 3 update (from Icarus 2) and the full sound bundle. My line of thinking: I'm not going to get younger and why not have some fun. Also support a developer that deserves it and hopefully maintains the code for a long time.
Now I'm thinking of getting the full Saurus sound bundle...

That Glitch routing would be great at some point, thanks!Tone2 Synthesizers wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 7:12 am1) Oscilltors and filters are processed per voice. The glitch sequencer is processed global per synth instance like the effects section.Examigan wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 7:19 pm I'm not sure if there is a way to do this, but I'd like to be able to send only certain Oscs to the Glitch section and not whichever others. I know I can turn off certain Oscs from reaching the Filter section. I'd like that for the Glitch section too.
Also, is there a way to add patch notes so they show up in the browser?
It offers these routings:
Post FX: Glitch is proecessed after the effects section
Synth only: Glitch processes the output of the synth
Drums only: Glitch processes the output of the drums
What would be technically possible is such a routing for a future update:
Left: Glitch sequencer - Right: Bypass glitch sequencer
Then you could use the osc panning to control the glitch send level.
2) Technically it's not possible to implement a keyboard that works 100% relieable in all DAWs and plugin formats. There are a number of DAWs that steal keyboard input for certain keystokes as they use them as a hotkey (e.g. the 'space' key missing in Orion as it uses this one for play/pause). I am sure some troublemakers (especially here on kvr) would complain loudly about 'buggy' keyboard.
Since I am tired of having to deal with such bullshit, I won't implement it. Sorry.
When you open the patch browser and take a look at the right row you'll notice that the synth automatically tags the supported patch play modes like velocity, legato etc. The name of the patch author is also displayed automatically. If a Patch has a name that ends with 'EXM' it displays 'Designed by Examigan'.
About the patch notes, that’s great that those are tagged on the right side, nice feature! But I meant more like: Use the mod wheel to change the morph amount, pitch wheel is routed to this-and-that, and other added info like that might be useful.

What an amazing Synth Icarus really is. The amount of updates and features that have been added to Icarus since I first purchased it are very much appreciated. Icarus is the most advanced synth I own so many thanks to Marcus. Looking forward to future development.

Thanks Marcus, sorry you felt the need to get involved. I suppose it does look a bit suspicious when a new user appears and praises a Synth but the truth is I simply felt like thanking you for your wonderful Synth.Tone2 Synthesizers wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 3:09 pm He's not related in any way to Tone2.

Hello Seluvis,
All is fine and thanks a lot for your support and the nice words!
People on kvr are often extremely rude with each other.
And people here are distrustful towards new members. The sad truth behind this is that several other companies have been running 'sock puppets' to post in the forum. This means using fake accounts to praise the own products, to write reviews and/or even the purpose to troll competitors.
I only come here occasonally to answer questions.

If you need a quick reply ou also contact us also directly by email.
I wish you a lot of fun with Icarus!

I get what you mean. The user should have more information how certain controls affect the sound of a patch and how the patch should be used. I'll make some thoughts about it how this can be done technically.Examigan wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 11:31 am That Glitch routing would be great at some point, thanks!

Apologize? For welcoming Selivus to KVR? Or for making an observation? I think you may have misinterpreted my comment, good sir. No ill will was intended.
I made no "false accusations" of any kind and I don't particularly appreciate being falsely accused myself. But I'm a gentleman so I shall refrain from any further thread derailments, especially over something so trivial and silly.
Now back to Icarus!

At the very least you heavily implied that I joined the forum as some kind of shill which to be honest wasn't much of a welcome. All I did is finally show some appreciation for Icarus, a Synth I've had hundreds of hours of use from.Chicken Drummy wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 9:32 pm Apologize? For welcoming Selivus to KVR? Anyway as far as I am concerned its water under the bridge,I'd rather not derail much more. Perhaps if you have any issues with me feel free to take it to pm's.
Back to Icarus then!

Yes, Selivus, I'm well aware that I may PM you at any time; you've already PM'd me to admit that you might have come across as a "shill" -something, I'd like to mention, was your word, not mine. I never said -nor implied- anything of the sort.
But yes, I think we can all move along now.
Water under the bridge indeed.
Again, we're happy to see you join KVR and sing the praises of the great synth that is Icarus along with the rest of us!

Well that's good to know that pm's aren't pm's on Kvr. I sent that as an olive branch to avoid any friction. You may not think so but your post came across as an attack, Markus rightly picked up on it as well. Why is it not possible to praise an excellent Synth without some windup merchant jumping in and derailing the topic?Chicken Drummy wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 11:39 pm Yes, Selivus, I'm well aware that I may PM you at any time; you've already PM'd me to admit that you might have come across as a "shill" -something, I'd like to mention, was your word, not mine. Sigh. There isn't, nor was there ever, any "friction" on my part. And to be honest, the more you drag out this whole thing by jumping right back in, making it something that it never was to begin with, the more you seem to be the shill you claimed not to be. But yes, yes, Markus this and that and... It almost seems like you want some kind of escalation to this whole thing. A need to have the last word - which is, dare I say, eerily familiar...
But anyway, I've tried multiple times to move on. Are you willing to move on or do you want to continue this? Because it's feeling like you have to have the last word despite your "oh, I know...I seem like a shill and I understand why" PM just hours ago.
Is that what you want, Seluvis ? The last word? Because it's becoming boring and, honestly, a little weird. And oddly enough, very familiar.
Once more, I'd like to move along and get away from this OT boolsheet. Are you willing to do so? Or no?

One of the things that drew me towards Icarus was the powerful high quality filters included. I'd love a hardware version of Icarus like the 3d representation but I realise a hardware project will unlikely ever see the light of day.
