Wow! Thank you Markus this is great. Icarus is a daily driver for me and is on most tracks on the album I'm working on, as well as the last two. Seriously a powerhouse / workhorse - tons of inspiration
Thanks for explaining that IXA can already be derived from one of the FM modes will give it a go now

And yes I do love some Casio (CZ/VZ/etc) tones - thought this deep dive was interesting, thanks for checking it out

Audio Damage's Continua just got an update with supersaw, supersquare, additive, and IXA oscillator types! You can actually get inharmonic ratios with IXA in Continua.

That’s interesting a synth plugin uses that IXA type, but I wouldn’t post a different developer’s video here.

I'm sure you get this all the time, but a BiFilter for Mac would be legendary. I've been wanting one for 15 years or so and still check back every so often to see if you've made one.

I'm sure you get this all the time, but a BiFilter for Mac would be legendary. I've been wanting one for 15 years or so and still check back every so often to see if you've made one.

BiFilter was available for Mac till MacOS 10.14 (Intel 32 bit / PowerPC). We had to remove the product as it wasn't possible to port it to VST3/Intel64Bit/M1 with reasonable effort. The sales were not good enough to justify the costs for a complete rewrite of the plugin.
The PC version of BiFilter is now available as freeware here:

Hard to believe that BiFilter is close to 20 years old. Looking at the range of filters you modelled for it back then is a testament to your technical excellence. From Vanguard to Icarus you have remained a true legend throughout the history of software Synthesizers.
