With Apple’s recent move to bring MotionVFX into the FCPX ecosystem, it’s clear they are doubling down on professional creative tools. It’s a total game-changer for the video market.

I’m convinced they’ll do something similar for audio. Imagine if Apple acquired someone like Celemony—bringing ARA technology and Melodyne’s pitch-shifting directly into the core of Logic Pro.

Who do you think is next on Apple’s list for audio development? Is it a creative tool or a technical powerhouse?

Sometimes they purchase companies just to get the engineers, not the products...

The idea is to strenghten their pro audio proposition, this is why they bought Camel Audio for Alchemy 10y ago, they could buy Spitfire or Vienna Instruments for classical music libraries, or Native for Kontakt, or invest in the DJ segment with Serato for instance :)

And sometimes they want to kill the competition, like in this case plugins for Da Vinci, me thinks.

They’ll do something; they have to, in order to justify the subscription and stand out

I'd be happy if they just updated Sculptures UI.. 8)

Apple will buy Universal Comcast first.

They could buy Final Cut Pro to use its tech so have better video support in Logic with multiple freely editable files and such things. Wait...

Final Cut Pro is no competition to DaVinci Resolve... FCP is great for prosumers and I don't mean that with any negative connotation. But I don't think many people still use it outside of that. If you look at the behind the scenes for Apple's own videos, not even the teams producing those seem to use FCP. It's all DaVinci, Media Composer or Premier.

I'd also imagine they might consider implementing some of this FX tech into the iPhone's camera app.

I'm really not so sure about an investment into an audio company from Apple, as this market is at the beginning of a pretty intense restructuring phase.

My guess is, that Izotope, given NI's state, is a company big players like Adobe and Apple are looking at currently for their RX and mixing tech.

Because RX tech could be implemented into Logic and Final Cut.

As for a pure audio company, Logic is lacking on all things granular synths and effects, as it is on a modern FM synth. So, it could be anyone's guess which company offers both of these for Apple to swallow it like it did with Camel Audio.

If anything I bet they will go after an AI audio company. I am sure they are impressed by Suno or Ace Studio. Lookıng at all the Session Players thingy that seems where they want to take Logic
