Kind of expensive, but if it does everything they say. (I hope they kill the droid)

Meh.. It doesn't even support Linux...
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Now THAT is freaking cool. I'm sold. Using it on my new track. See what it comes up with.

I seem to remember a bit of flack regarding some midi chord packs produced under the name Unison. Is that what you mean?

Yeah. Generic midi files packaged as some kind of magic system.
There's a deep dive on it here.
Ironically when I went to that link I got an ad for Unison.

Fair enough, I was cautious to presume a direct link. Lets hope the new product can stand up on its own feet then and be free of past baggage assuming its a good product.kraster wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 6:39 pmYeah. Generic midi files packaged as some kind of magic system.

I hate everything about this garbage. Just use Suno or something and get the idea that you're actually interested in making music over with.

One mans meat being what it is. For inexperienced producers I would imagine such products offer decent results until you realise just about every man and their dog is doing exactly the same. If you want to stand out and be original stay clear of this as well as Suno.zerocrossing wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 7:28 pm I hate everything about this garbage. Well, if you're using a food analogy, it's more like saying you're a hunter, but you go into the woods and someone hands you a hamburger and you come out saying, "look, I hunted this down." If you're going to McDonalds, just say you're going to McDonalds, or go to a grocery store, or whatever you want to do to get your meat, but saying that someone handing you a burger is a type of hunting is just lying to yourself and everyone else. If clicking once is going to give you a groove, go to a streaming music app and click on some actual music. At least you'll probably get something fairly good.Seluvis wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 7:52 pmOne mans meat being what it is. Very mixed emotions about this one....
Whats obvious: the same spamming garbage company unison behind it that spams me (and not only me I would think
) since I showed some interest for midi wizard. Even good old William could learn a lot from them
. Or: this is just disgusting and really far away from anything acceptable in anyway for me personally.
Whats not so obvious: there is another one hour video, I would think of the main develloper, and this guy definitely knows what he is talking about and what he develloped. You can use your own samples, your own wavetables and this seem to go as deep as any synth out there. Thats not the part that interests me (I am the guy for the randomn buttons anywhere
) but....
And: while I joined their forum there has been for a while the most in deep info about many interesting things in music making you could get out there. Of course: in the end unison is it but: evrything else related was mentioned in a kind of fair and very informative way. When that stopped I was out (sadly of course but obvious: unsubscribing dont stop them from spamming ....).
So only fot the guys who thing they could deal with this
maybe worth a look on the one hour video (no I wont post a link, not for them, if you really want it you will find it)....
