Thanks for the helpful feedback
UA Verve looks very interesting. I'm checking it out. It's price is $99. , I might wait for a sale price if I decide to buy it.

Empirical Labs Arousor especially on drums. Sad to say a bit pricier option as well.

You can get 10 plugins for $99, including Verve, with their Winter Mix Tape bundle. Also, Verve Essential is sometimes given out for free and does 90% of what I use Verve for.

Let's be really clear here, saturation/distortion adds overtones so things get brighter, not warmer as such. What happens when used well, is that the signal is moved more 'to the center' as in focus on the midrange over subz n tingz. This is what Punch, Snap & Sizzle mean. The video digs into that, showing how with core tools you can make your own studio sound vibe.
Most of the sound-goodifiers tend to splaturate then roll off highs with things like LP or Shelf Filters under the faceplate to give the impression there is secret magic. At the track level, it seems amazeballz, but at the Masters, it feels muddy coz everything had the tops lopped off - like a cassette porta studio Unghhhh.
This is a total fail as a product as it takes your coin but ruins the work. We had to accept that with a porta studio as that was the best available. In software, the issue is in learning your craft. Far better long-term to learn directly from a truly experienced person (and that is never the poopular YooBoober shilling pluginz). Every plugin you waste money and time on would be better invested in paying a person to grok the real things.

Hi,
OK, I decided to get the UA Verve, and with their Special $99. deal for the Verve + Nine additional Plugins in their Winter Special collection. So I ended up with Verve and these additional 9 plugins. The Verve alone is priced at $99. So this is an amazing deal.
Many Thanks to @ Uncle E for the letting me know about this deal
The UA verve plugin has the kind of fast functionality I was looking for, lots of flavors of warmth, saturation, distortion, with a bit of tweaking, offering fast workflow, and auditioning many sonic flavors. Super useful for my production needs.
Here is a list of the 10 UA Plugins I purcheased for $99. Including the Verve.

Cheers,
Muziksculp

No, I have no clue what 'analogue warmth' is.Muziksculp wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 8:12 pm Hi,

I use hardware and software, but that term is meaningless to me.

For me, every channel runs through a preamp/tracking console channel, multitrack tape, and then a mixing console channel. I adjust the preamp and tape input level to get the amount of saturation and compression I want. I’m always thinking through what the tracking process would be like if I was in an analogue studio back in the day, and then try to recreate it with UADx plugins.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP
