What's funny is it's the same concept as a Jazzmaster trem, just much, much better executed.

I was about to say... Rick Toone has a guitar trem based on the same trem

The lock feature of jazzmaster trem though is great, if you tuned it perfectly as guitar is tuned up, you can loose a string and just lock it and play on.Uncle E wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2026 8:06 pm What's funny is it's the same concept as a Jazzmaster trem, just much, much better executed.

The Mastery trem is proof that it's just an execution problem. That one stays in tune even when you don't use their bridge.

From the YouTybe comments:
holy .... $769 USD .... ill wait a while lol... looks outstanding... price is insane
On a Harley Benton that costs what, like 150 - 200 €
It's an interesting mechanics though. I wonder why no one hasn't produced it until now.

People will probably say it doesn’t sound like vintage trems. Skinny block and all that. Now that I think about it, the mechanics are similar to a Kahler, too.

I would prefer a trem/vibrato bar sound more like a real vibrato played on a fretless instrument like a cello which is more natural sounding to me. Which means you're only lowering the pitch while fretboard vibrato only raises the pitch. Never really been a fan of trem/vibrato bar vibrato unless used for fx type sounds.Uncle E wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 4:13 pm People will probably say it doesn’t sound like vintage trems. The BladeRunner is perfect for that. It's objectively the most frictionless trem in existence:Tubeman wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 4:43 pm I would prefer a trem/vibrato bar sound more like a real vibrato played on a fretless instrument like a cello which is more natural sounding to me. New Antiquity models dropped at Gear4music. I had no complainants about the ST1.
No-brainer prices. Low stock.
