I might be reading the schematic incorrectly but it seems like the MN3009's are after the VCA:loctune wrote: Sat Mar 21, 2026 8:28 pm This one sounds great, but Softube is either lazy or ignorant to not put up a solution for the noise issue in the software, which makes it into a bad position again.
I used to own a Juno 106. Yes, the chorus is BBD and is noisy by design. But if it is as loud as this one, clearly audible even when no note being played, then it means your device needs service and you need to get the MN3009 chip replaced.
The noise isn't modeled in a correct way either. On real hardware you'd hear the amount of noise reduced when you lower your VCA level but the noise level stays the same on Model 84. So Softube isn't really introducing the noise because it's the same behavior on hardware. They are essentially trying to cheat on the "vintage feeling" by putting in some noise and call it a day.
I don't mind the noise when played. But audible noise when idle needs to be dealt with.
