should work now at least for when closing the plugin window and open again and fixed the default size too on the newest update.

The developer sends spam. To download CHECK, you must subscribe to the newsletter. It’s impossible to unsubscribe from the newsletter. At first, I got an error message (“Unsubscribe failed”), and then I started receiving emails without any unsubscribe link at all.

The emails are meaningless; they’re not update notifications, just random "tips" nobody asked for, with a pushy offer to download a demo version of another plugin or other marketing spam.

Think twice before getting involved. Do you want to receive a daily dose of spam in your inbox with no way to get rid of it? There are other plugins available with similar functionality that you can download and use without these annoyances. It’s not worth it.

Bad debut, KERN audio, really bad one...

Wide, Warm, and Smooth are very good tools. Warm has an interesting take on the tape sound. They are easy to use and the Delta button is very helpful. You can quickly get something that works. I have other plug-ins that perform these functions, but these are excellent quality and easy to use. I am buying the bundle which is a pretty good deal at $59.

damn, that one stings mate spending tons of time trying to make everyone happy, but hey shit happens.

but you are right, and i am sorry. on march 26, the unsubscribe link in the email sequence was broken. it was a bug in how i was generating the unsubscribe URLs for some emails (the Resend API handles broadcasts emails differently, and i had it wrong). i fixed it on march 27 without much sleep.

that does not undo the frustration you experienced. if you send me your email address at jonas@kernaudio.io, i will unsubscribe you manually right now and confirm it is done.

on the emails themselves: CHECK is free, but the download goes through Lemon Squeezy which collects an email address for the receipt. the follow-up sequence sends 6 emails over 21 days with mixing tips and links to guides on kernaudio.io that doesn't ask for much, simply just an onboarding. i understand that is not what everyone wants from a free plugin download. i am reviewing the frequency and content of that sequence based on your feedback and if i can improve in any way, please let me know.

i appreciate you posting this publicly rather than just leaving, even though it hurts like hell. BUT it is the kind of feedback that makes the product better, even when it is hard to read.

Cool. Today is 31 March. I've just got another email without an unsubscripton link. Lemon Squeezy again?

It is not Lemon Squeezy. It is you who sends n emails over m days. It is you who composes these emails. It is not Lemon Squeezy who writes them. May be, it is Lemon Squeezy who disabled the unsubscription link without your consent? Then it is better to choose another selling platform.

Why do you use your illness as an excuse? Why do you introduce yourself as a hardly ill man? Is it part of your marketing too?

Just a frendly advice. There was a person here named WilliamK. From Wusik. He forgot to unsubscribe people and told about how ill he is too. It will be interesting for you. Such a play has its predictable end. Do you really need it?

We all can find ourselves in difficult circumstances. We all can make mistakes. It’s best to get out of it as soon as possible. And not to make new mistakes.

so here is what happened technically: the old email sequence pre-scheduled all emails at the time of download. I rewrote the sequence on march 30 (and fixed the link it on march 27 and on march 30 fewer emails and rewritten and limited based on most of your feedback as well), but the emails that were already scheduled before that date are still being delivered by the email provider. that is my fault for not cancelling the queued emails when I deployed the fix - they're all deleted.

if you send your email address to jonas@kernaudio.io (or just dm me here) I will confirm your unsubscribe is processed immediately and make sure you're never getting anything from me.

I shared my background because it is true and it is relevant to why these plugins exist. I understand that can read as manipulative, and I hear you - but its geniunely not. a short background: i had cancer that ruined my ability to tour and play, therefore i started learning to develop plugins and code, its not an excuse its a story i want to share because i feel it is relevant to why the brand exists. i am not hardly ill anymore, and that's not the story if you read it, i WAS ill and therefore changed careers.

but again, thanks for the feedback, and everything has been taken into consideration!

Quite a few on KVR should maybe rethink their way of acting out from time to time. We cannot see inside other people thus we should not judge out of pure assumption. Yet, this is often what keeps happening in here, over and over again. Normally towards developers who kindly interact with people on a friendly and personal level. This needs to stop and dont get me wrong, me doesnt like a fully spammed inbox either.

I couldn't find any emails from them. And I bought one of the plugins (which I like a lot).

Uploaded a video for WARM:

really appreciate this satYatunes. the WARM video is exactly the kind of demo that's hard to do in screenshots. tape vs tube vs transformer is a subtle difference until you hear it back-to-back on a real signal, and you captured that well.

means a lot coming from someone who's been covering this space for a while.

quick update from the last few weeks.

PUSH shipped publicly on may 12. three compression characters (SETTLE, TIGHT, DRIFT) running spectral dynamics across 40 ERB bands. $29, same as the others. the idea is "the step before your compressor" rather than a compressor replacement.

CHECK got a free update to v1.2.4 on may 21. main addition is an issue log that timestamps every mono compatibility problem the plugin catches during a session. right-click the display, pick "show issue log", and you get a scrollable panel with every flagged problem in plain language. similar issues merge into one row with a count so it doesn't flood you.

and the thing i'm most excited about: all three spectral plugins (SMOOTH, WARM, PUSH) will soon have an opt-in low-latency mode. drops from ~93ms to ~12ms for tracking and live monitoring. toggle it on when you're recording, toggle it off when you're mixing and want the full resolution. free update for anyone who already owns them this week.

the bundle is $69 now (was $59 during launch-intro). singles still $29. CHECK still free.
