Serum 2 Vital

Post

Hey, I’m trying to recreate 4 bass sounds and would really appreciate some help.

The first bass is the main one I need.
Still, if anyone feels like giving input on all 4, that would be amazing.

Thanks!

OK so the first 3 are the same sound
You use a sine wave in the sub osc
A saw wave for osc 1 and put the osc 1 through a bandpass (24db) filter. Set the cut-off around 200Hz
Give osc 1 unison to taste.

Then there is a higher sine note with a 2nd synth

the two dont play the same notes so it has to be done in 2 seperate synths

the last bass is basically the same patch but I did this in Vital
Osc 2 has to be 2 octaves and 7 semitones higher.
the 3rd osc (oscillator 2 in Serum) is also a unison saw but I put it through filter 2 so maybe use a filter in the after fx
use a slight low-pass filter and use some drive/distortion

Thanks for the breakdown. I tried it, but I’m still getting a pretty different sound on my end.
Would you mind sharing the actual preset/settings if it’s not too much trouble?

BA.zip
2 vital presets

Bass one has the extra sine on (Osc 3)
but disable that one and and use a separate synth

Bass2 isn't perfect but close enough
