Building a Website, Alright not so much like building work,
but still,
I have 100MB of webspace to play around with, so I need a simple, easy to use, Cheap, FTP web page builder software for Mac OSX.
Any recomendations?
All I want to do is be able to have a good looking front page, MP3s to download or stream, easy to update, check how many people are viewing the site, etc
What do you guys use?
Anyone heard of Interarchy 7? It's only $39

Any suggestions are welcome

Not specifically for the Mac, Im afraid, but if its something simple you want to do, the demo version of Dreamweaver should run for 30 days...
Dreamweaver's what I've used for the past few years.

I've just started to,,one of the problems I'm having(among many),,is having the page look right in 800/600 and 1280/1024.
Looks okay in 1024/768,,maybe someone could tell us how they make it proportional in all sizes.....

Do you mean make the fonts proportional, so that they dont look smaller on a high resolution, or d'you mean the width of the used part of the page?

What software are you using?
Have you started from scratch? or are you using a template?

I'm using Matizha Sublime,,the pages with probs are the ones from scratch.
Fonts aren't really the problem,,say across the top,,I've got a graphic,,then a title ,,then another graphic.
At smaller sizes I get the graphic, then the title,,but the next graphic moves to the second line.I'll have to look at this percentage avenue,,although I'm not sure where ya see that...

I got roped into buying a program from the server ,,what I didn't realise is that it only works with their templates
I'm gunna use templates on some pages,,but others I want something plain-jane,,for mp3 archiving and such..

Some of those applications were PC only and I can't afford Dream Weaver.
I want a programme I can stick with.

personally I use GVIM
... Though you need to learn HTML/ CSS maybe even javascript etc... if your going to do that... but in the long run, IMO, you'll be better off understanding the language's anyway.
And I wouldn't define things like width, heights of tables in the html itself (as suggested above). Instead use Cascading Style Sheets...You have much more control and wil find it a lot easier to make global changes with style sheets.

So do you need a programme to do that, or do you just write lines of code and then upload it?
