Scaling as a "major update" ?
If their marketing claim is right, they invest a lot of R&D into creating the best algos, recreating analog gems, doing crazy programming in order to get the best audio quality...
GUI scaling should be the equivalent of playing the C major scale for a musician that pretends to be able to improvize on the Coltrane changes at 200 BPM. It's not a "major update". It's very basic catalogue maintenance.
And I don't see any "major" enhancement of CPU usage either. I still have issues with BlackBox HG2. Lisa is still a CPU hog (and a GUI nightmare).
But the usage data tracking feature... It's truly something...

It's absurd that they have not added preset loading - this means for example that even though they are now part of NI it's not possible to access their plugin presets in Maschine

Not quite. Getting that feature right across the board is way harder than it seems.Calagan wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 7:02 am GUI scaling should be the equivalent of playing the C major scale for a musician that pretends to be able to improvize on the Coltrane changes at 200 BPM. I noticed this not getting updated. Same thing with PanEQ. It would be cool if they received a v3.bnz wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 6:59 am I'm curious whether bx_control v2 isn't Brainworx developed. It doesn't scale for me. Let's hope they skipped that due to an upcoming v3 update. That would be nice.

@PLuginAlliance help us understand. You announce that all 64 Brainworx plugin now have GUI scaling. Except it's only a minor percentage of your plugins that actually have GUI scaling? WTf?

Not all bx_* plugins were updated, at least there are no updates for them seen in PA Installation Manager.
And for some reason the Installation Manager shows updates for some plugins I uninstalled a while ago.

The GUI updates were necessary, and it’s great that they were implemented during this phase of the company’s development.aMUSEd wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 10:57 am It's absurd that they have not added preset loading - this means for example that even though they are now part of NI it's not possible to access their plugin presets in Maschine
I’ve been missing the presets in Maschine for a long time; it’s hard to understand why they haven’t managed to include a built-in preset browser within the plugin.
Only the (old) VST 2 plugins in Maschine 2 allow to load presets.

Masterdesk, bx_saturator v2 and Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor are not scalable for me.t.o.t.s. wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 4:20 am I mean there were a substantial number of updates. For the ones I own:
EQ 250 scalable
SVT-VR Classic scalable
bx_Cleansweep Pro scalable
bx_delay 2500 scalable
bx_dynEQ v2 scalable
bx_limiter scalable, new GUI
bx_masterdesk scalable
bx_opto scalable
bx_saturator v2 scalable (really wish theyd done a new sking for this)
bx_stereomaker scalable
bx_subsynth scalable
MC77, scalable and new options to hide modules
Shadow Hills Mastering compressor, scalable
SPL Attacker plus scalable
SPL Transient Designer Plus scalable
Everything in their free suite of plugins is now scalable.
That's a pretty solid update. Also, once you deactivate tracking options (same as NI) any new installs and existing installs default to it being deactivated. It's not that big of a deal.
Windows 10, FL Studio 25 and Cubase 13. They all still look atrocious at 75% or less.
Masterdesk Pro hasn't been updated for over a year.

They might not be "freely scalable" but every image you posted shows that they are scalable. Otherwise 100% and 75% would not even be options for you. Not sure what you are saying?

Well of course it is, especially for older tired eyes. It makes a lot of their plugins actually usable now.
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

It's probably a misunderstanding then since I was expecting to be able to scale with the bottom right corner. We've been able to scale with those fixed percentages for a long time, and many of them don't look great (text specifically) when downsizing below 100%.t.o.t.s. wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 4:53 pm They might not be "freely scalable" but every image you posted shows that they are scalable. "After years of development behind the scenes, 64 Brainworx Made plugins have been updated with modernized interfaces, performance improvements, and long-requested features. Every update is free for existing customers."
This sounds like it's a surprise update where all 64 plugins now have new modernized interfaces, when in reality it is only a few more plugins that now support the fixed percentage scaling. I think that's what other people are expecting too, based on the posts in this thread.

All I can say is that of the 61 PA plugins I own at least all of the ones I care about have received larger GUI sizes such as the 2098 EQ which now that I can see it clearly is getting used in multiple instances in every track. bx_delay 2500 and bx_roomMS reverb are also now getting used since the update and so on. If I'm not mistaken even their free bundle plugins now have resizable GUIs.
So I am grateful for the free update. It has brought many of the PA I plugins I own back into the starting line up.
