Demoed it for about an hour and just bought it.
It sounds really nice on drums. The THD is... chef kiss
I wonder why there is no talk about it here :)

i was gonna start a thread, but thank you for doing so.
it's def good on the drum bus. It deserves more demo time, especially as Kazrog plugins are affordable as well as sound great. Also generally feel very stable, which is a huge factor for me.

cheers

Kazrog stuff is really awesome. I think that they are underrated. I got True Iron, MHB Green and Retro STA from them. All plugins are super nice. Need to check this one as well. And waiting other thoughts about the new compressor from Kazrog.

Post

Agreed that those three are great- they are all in the set of plugins I actually use semi-regularly. Red is also pretty nice, though we’ll see if it stays in rotation like the others.

Also in heavy rotation here. Retro STA, MHB Green and now Red.

Been sussing the demo today. It's definitely good but not really getting the same initial phwoar factor I did with the MHB Green. Will give it a bit longer to decide on whether I'll grab this.

The same here. MHB green is amazing! Also Retro STA

.. yeah this one isn't for me either. MHB Green is often in use though.

My go to compressor at this moment honestly.. I am talking about MHB Green

I'm a Green fan too.
I suppose I'll give Red a spin later on.

later on:
The Red has a mid forward thing going on with a nice roll-off, while the Green has more of a smiley curve.
Transient response is different; the Red is more punchy and Green is smoother, to my ears. Even when setting them to extremes in either direction.

So far though I've only played with drums.

Love Red so far, and i still use Green quiet often. Red can indeed be more punchy, and it's definitely a color box, but a lot more flexible and useful on a wide array of sources. And has a really wide sweet spot.

The thd is nice for adding edge, or make elements cut through a mix if needed, or used very subtly for tonal shift, and giving life to sterile sounds.

The compression can also be very smooth, like pinning the level almost on various sources really well. Nice addition to my previously stripped down comp folder.

How is Red on vocals?
