Thanks for the reply. I changed from using Projucer to Cmake since then, saw no difference in the DAW's I tested myself but I will figure it out. Saw in your previous emails you used Luna, i will download that DAW and check.Uncle E wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 8:49 pm Didn't your previous version (Sequarp) load as a a MIDI FX? I remember it working pretty well and effortlessly. I'm not having any luck with Arponaut.

Good to know, I'll download Cubase and add it to the list of MIDI routing.wagtunes wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 2:21 pm Interesting concept but since there are no instructions for Cubase, I don't have the patience to try to figure out how to use it. I do wish you luck with it though.

I checked and I saw you used Luna, in your emails you said you used the plugin "Element". Since Midi routing inside Luna is not possible I added this workaround to the "Midi routing manual". As far as I found it's not possible to make a VST3 MIDI effectUncle E wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 8:49 pm Didn't your previous version (Sequarp) load as a a MIDI FX? Hmmm, thanks for pointing that out. I saw the same warning on the first release and it disappeared after a few days.carlosigls wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2026 11:13 am I get this message every time I try to download it.

I think it’s because my account is still new (about 12 days old) and this is my first upload on itch.io. I’ve contacted support to see how I can avoid this on future updates.
For transparency: the download only contains a zip-file with a VST3 plugin file, two .txt files, and a PDF.
If you’d still like to try it, itch.io gives you the option to proceed, but I completely understand if you prefer to wait until the warning is gone. I’ll update here as soon as I hear back from support

Thanks a lot for this one, very much appreciated! Much better, for me at least
Also thanks for adding a version number to the release(s), just makes it easier to keep things organized.
Unfortunately I'm not having much time to spend with Arponaut, so atm I can't say too much about functionality. The general concept reminds me a lot of ANA's Arpeggiator (plus its' CMD).
Although I remember with the initial release I couldn't create an identical sequence in Arponaut and ANA2. Maybe that's because ANA has "Note Order" options, Arponaut doesn't (unless I'm overlooking). Need to check that again when I got time for.

Interesting comparison, I didn’t know that arp yet, looks really powerful.mesamask wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 4:25 amThe general concept reminds me a lot of ANA's Arpeggiator (plus its' CMD).

Do you mean with “note order” that ANA rearranges the incoming chord notes before applying the pattern?
The main idea behind Arponaut is a bit different. Instead of only applying a pattern to incoming chords, you can also draw chords inside the plugin. This way, you can even route MIDI from the DAW into the pattern lane (C = first note, D = second, etc.).
It’s also a bit closer to a piano roll than a classic step sequencer, so you’re not strictly tied to a fixed grid.
So it becomes more of a playground between harmony and rhythm rather than just transforming input MIDI.
Curious what kind of sequence you were trying to recreate. Happy to take a look

Ah I see now in the ANA Manual, so more like the direction of the arpeggio based on the chord notes.
That’s not in Arponaut at the moment. I’ve been trying to keep things a bit minimal and avoid adding options that might clutter the workflow.
One thing I’ve noticed so far is that the biggest friction is already in getting started, so I’m a bit careful about adding more controls that might make that harder.
That said, I’m curious how important that is in your use case. Do you feel like it’s something you miss a lot when working with it?
