I think it's about the pedal, not the player. How is the playing relevant? Surely it's about the sound.

I have a hard time judging how valuable a device or instrument might be for me if the way it is demoed/presented doesn't speak to me. (That's no judgement whatsoever regarding the efforts of the OP though).
