I've tried many sequencers down the years on both Windows and Linux, but I really do not like the MIDI editors on any of them apart from Cubase, and even that is a shadow of what it once was in that regard, e.g. Atari v3.1 and PC VST 5.1 etc. The one on Reaper is awful.

You only have what UVI feels is a "best of" samples of the SY-77. This is nothing like a bonafide SY/TG synthesizer. Apples and oranges.DCrown wrote: Mon Mar 30, 2026 5:38 am Have just noticed that I already have a SY 77 emu by UVI, that's what happens when too many plugins

Now that Sway has been released, I have to say I like Uvi more. It was a good idea to limit it to "best of" and now I know why they did.Caesarg86 wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 6:10 pmYou only have what UVI feels is a "best of" samples of the SY-77. You seem....confused. You apparently think sample-based ROMplers are the same thing as synthesizer emulations as software. You should probably just play with your silly toys and ignore threads like this, they clearly are not for you.

Agreed. Speaking as someone who also released an SY77 sample library, they're completely different instruments.

I am a musician who plays several instruments on highest level.
It is all about if a synth inspires you to perform, create, compose and produce and fast workflow is the most important thing to me.
I don't care whether it is Sample based or physical modeling or whatever.
Now go back to your kindergarden and learn playing the triangle properly before you start talking to adults

Then it’s not for you. This is for people who care about those differences. I hate the reverb just as much as you do but the majority of people who voiced their opinion about it specifically requested for it to be as much like the original as possible. Those are the people this is for.

Do you really need four different threads to tell us that you (and others) dislike SWAYED? I only need one thread to tell you that I (and others) think you are annoying.DCrown wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 6:50 pm Who do you think you are?

With UVI your are limited to what someone else thinks is "best of" rather than having a deep and powerful true FM synthesizer that interacts with and can play back samples to make what is best for you

He plays several instruments on highest level and if he says this synth is no good, it is just objectively no good. Your peasant ears are simply wrong.
