I love their TAL J-8 plugin, and this one also sounds great. If you can't afford all of the emulations, start with TAL-MOD. It's underrated, and I think it sounds better than U-he ACE for a semi-modular VA.

What about it? Unless he went Codemeter (he didn't), I can't be bothered. Codemeter and shitfest auth systems akin to it is where I make my full-stop.

Yeah, I have no complaint about this sound, while the DRM is more concerning for me. I left Roland Cloud because the endlessly phoning home. And while I am sure anything else would be an improvement over RCM, I still don’t want any plugin with any kind of phoning home behavior after successful activation.

Does the TAL plugins still try to connect to the internet even after activation? I got confused reading their FAQ.

Also setting up the JX-10 presets using two instances would be nice too...

Ace plugin - sounds great!

I assume you know you can (within some boundaries) set up your own colour scheme on it...(it comes with a few)... though I personally find the hardware look very bland.

Lets not do "close to hardware" look, shall we? Them Noland lawyers are nasty arseholes and love to bully once presented with an opportunity. Lets not give it to them.

Then again, zvenx is right. The OG indeed looked bland. Like a giant dead mice with colored buttons and LED screen.

This plugin though sounds great. A lot better than the old this plugin. This is the new this plugin.

Roland can't copyright colours, and the TAL plugin bears no resemblance to the original trade dress, so changing the colours in the plugin - as all the TAl plugins allow - is in no way a legal issue.

yeah good for you, sneaky tactics and being silent about that shows some aspects of his style of marketing. doesnt matter if codemeter or not, 2 steps forward one step backwards. look at the market, a product of people like you and majority who suck up these steps until it is too late.

but yeah had to post cause of my ego, in the end it doesnt help. i observe the behaviour of buyers a long time ago. nothing wonders me anymore.
