Well, CA has released some great synths, though and Zebra2 is still great, nevertheless would like to see some more (good) Yamaha emus to be released, but pls no DX7, Dexed already exists for many years.
Great, more money in my pocket! haha

Keep on releasing CA, but pls don't become another AA!
wtf are you even saying 🤦‍♂️
Same old hate from the same suspects who no doubt even haven’t demo’d it. If you can’t add anything to the party then stay at home 🤷‍♂️
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

and you think you can tell me what I should write or not? Haha
I am not even interested in demoing, I have watched the yt video!
A softsynth can be used for composing, creating and producing music, did you know that?!
And if it doesn't sound promising and inspiring than it is not a interesting plugin for me, simple as that.
Kvr threads are no hyping only threads!

And if you read my comment, I am happy about so many bad releases, cuz I don't have to waste money, so I am happy about the release, I was rather scared of the release of a good synth!

Unfortunately I think I have too many foes, and when I read someone's post by someone who is not a foe, that has replied to a foe, I still end up seeing the foe's post. I think Kvr Instruments isn't for me anymore. I would need completely different energies to want to continue to participate here, and I have tried to sludge through but some days it's too difficult (Why have to try). As far as the instrument goes, I enjoy the little I have witnessed by the Cherry introduction video and will be the judge for myself of instruments from this point on.

Well yeah if you're shooting a movie and want to make it look like it was shot on VHS tape from the 1980's (for whatever reason) but....how rare of a use case is that? You could justify almost anything if you dig down deep enough.

All I can say is I can't think of any reason why I would want to use a sound as crappy as a Crumar Orchestrator in 2026. YMMV.

Was there ever a point where you weren't judging instruments for yourself?

I guess I'll try the demo just to see how it sounds with a vocoder. That lo-fi aliasing sound isn't for me but maybe I can get some good robot sounds out of it.

I like this thing. Frankly I like just about anything coming out these days because IMHO there are worse ways to spend my money and there are some crazy-talented folks out there working on this stuff. Is this unique? Dunno but I'll buy it anyhow.

Can't read your post. Are you a foe?

No one needs to buy every Cherry Audio synth.

There are a few neat things about this synth, and "somewhat crappy sound" is part of its character. The DCOs are, uh, interesting - the triangle wave sounds like chiptune. The filter has a weird trick in that (I believe) the key tracking only applies to the synth part, so you can get these dual resonant sweeps along with the "poly" section. The effects (which are generous) can also be applied to the synth and "poly" parts independently, and I think you can modulate effects parameters with the lfos (gotta check again). You can also do some interesting things with the voice allocations.

In any case, It may be disappointing that it's not an original, but it's still good bang-for-the-buck if it's your bag, IMHO.

Teksonik wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 5:27 pm... and for the love of god Cherry Audio hire a graphics designer that can do something that isn't fuzzy and of a quality from 2006.
Well that's interesting because I've always thought the problem with Cherry's GUIs is that they are too starkly vector, like they've not used any anti-aliasing. It looks OK to me, except it's a bit big.

It sounds alright, too. I only had to preview a dozen or so presets before I found one that had me composing a Synthwave track in no time at all. That sort of inspiration is worth paying for in my book. After all, it's only $60, FFS, it's not going to compete with $200 megasynths and only a moron would expect it to.

I stand by my statement. I don't care if it's free I have no use for such a toy. Only a moron needs 101 ways to make the same preset but round and round we go........ :wheee:

They're not frozen, you idiot, they're just cool :) Unlike you, ya jagoff

If they're in the freezer, they're frozen. The hint is in the name. If you just want to keep them cool, put them in the fridge. Did your mommy teach you nothing? I can't imagine she didn't try.

What is it with this site and this kind of stuff? (and before you ask, I've been on this site for over 20 years. lost access to my old account because of an email snafu and no support from the guys that run this site).

Why is it a toy? Why the desire to call someone a moron if they buy this/like this/whatever?

If you don't want it or don't like it bully for you then - don't buy it - but why the incessant need to have such a sh*t attitude? We're talking about audio plugins folks.
