Hi,
My name is Makis, and I’m an audio engineer currently developing a new software project called ZEG Audio Engine.
The project started out of pure curiosity — just an idea to explore a different approach to mixing and mastering.
Over the past months, through persistence and continuous development, it has grown into a fully working application that is now close to completion.
ZEG Audio Engine is a standalone Windows application designed to provide a simple and structured mixing + mastering workflow, especially for users working outside of traditional DAWs.
The concept is quite straightforward:
Import multitrack WAV stems (for example from hardware mixers / SD recordings)
Mix them inside a dedicated Mixing Section (with optional auto-mix assistance and FX)
Finalize the track in the Mastering Section (either automatically via reference track + genre, or manually)
The goal is not to replace DAWs or existing professional tools, but to offer an alternative workflow that may be useful for a different group of users — especially those who prefer a faster, more contained approach.
The project is currently in beta (v0.7.x) and I’m looking for testers to try it in real-world scenarios and provide feedback.
