I think I wrote somewhere else what I bought this year!
Anyway, the last thing I bought is the upgrade to Cubase Pro 15 from 14 yesterday! It worth it of course with 30% discount. I think this is the only software I buy this year! I absolutely don't need anything else to what I already have!

I actually can do some music/noise with just Steinberg products! Cubase + Halion + Groove Agent are all I need really, but it is good to have some other options as well, although it is distracting to not concentrate on just specific tools.

I've set myself strict limits this year -- not because I feel like I spend too much or am distracted by chasing new things, but because I want to settle in more with what I already have and change my perspective. I have a ton of cool things and some of them deserve more use than they've gotten so far... I really do not need anything else.

The limit is one software synth and three effects plugins. I'm also being choosy about free plugins, though there's not a specific limit as such. (I didn't put any restrictions on VCV Rack modules, nor DAW or WAV editor upgrades etc.)

So far I've bought no software, though I tried a couple demos. I've also installed the free CRQL Anina, which is nice.

(and, ETA, now I'm seriously thinking about picking up Audiority Pyros.)


On the hardware side I allowed myself one Eurorack module and nothing else (aside from necessary repairs/replacements if any). And I did indeed just buy that module a few days ago.

It's been a refreshing experiment honestly and I don't feel like I am missing out.

Nothing, and probably will remain nothing until Black Friday sales if that. I'm finally hitting a point where I have everything I need plus change and it's pointless to buy more.

BF-2 plugin, tempted to buy Swayed, but I probably won't, cuz I have Yamaha hardware synths.

Frankly speaking Atlas, Avenger and Xpand2 and Waves Horizon is all I need. BF-2 is cool, though, one of my best purchases ever, I will use it on everything and on every track.

The only plugin I've bought so far is the MUM M8 filter by ALM Busy Circuits. I want to release more music before I buy more plugins. Already have more than I need and choice overload is a thing for me. I was going to buy Airwaves but I'll wait for Adam to release the update first.

• Minimal Audio - Wave Shifter (Closest thing to FAC Fizzica on Windows)

• Eventide - Music Mouse (I keep forgetting I have that)

• Dawesome - LOVE 2 Upgrade (I got the first one for free)

• NI Razor

• Rob Papen Go2 (I wanted to trade my MoogerFooger Phaser for it, but it turned out to be NFR)

• XLN Audio - Addictive Keys Mk One (Another good Rhodes sample library for cheap!)

• Ocean Swift Synthesis - Under Hive (Amazing presets for Hive 2!)

What I will definitely buy in the future:

• Bitwig Renewal (especially if there will be a free synth offer)

• Omnisphere 3 Upgrade (comes with an excellent multi-effect)

• UVI Falcon + expansions (Redundant if I have Omnisphere?)

• KORG Multi/Poly Native (Either this Spring Sale or the next sale)

• KORG Wavestation (Will demo it first and compare it to M1)

• D16 Drumazon 909 (Unless there are cheaper 909 sounds available)

• OP-X Pro 3 Upgrade (I have plenty of VAs, but OP-X Pro II sounds amazing!)

• UAD Opal (probably the closest thing to a software version of the Peak)

• More Hive and Repro preset packs

What I might get again:

• TAL J-8 (likely during Black Friday sale)

I wish I could get Serum 2, but my AMD Ryzen 3700X can't handle many instances. And Tone2's Icarus is already a great flagship synth! I'm also torn about the Blofeld plugin, considering that I have Viper and Icarus. But I know I don't need it.
