Decyne4 Music Oy announces Precyne 2.0 DAW for Hybrid Studios

Precyne 2 is a DAW with tracker workflow, timeline arrangement and clip based performance.

Precyne 2 is designed for producers who use both hardware and software to make music. The workflow and features are designed to work with all your hardware studio gear instead of trying to replace it. VST3 and AU plugin instruments and effects are supported for true hybrid studio workflow.

Main new features in Precyne 2 include:
- Mixer sets.
- Major upgrades in handling of MIDI and audio interfaces.
- Large number of smaller usability upgrades.

Unlike most trackers, Precyne 2 includes modern linear song arrangement tools. Easily arrange your song structures in the timeline view. Separate your played notes and MIDI CCs into their own clips to easily reuse same performance with different automations. Create polyrhythms by using different beat divisions in MIDI clips.

Use clip launcher to compose your song parts in non linear order. Jam along with different song parts and record them into the timeline for final arrangement.

The MIDI implementation has been designed to not get in your way. Easily map knobs on your hardware synthesizers to automations in MIDI clips. Control the granularity of your MIDI CC automations. Control when your drum machines and grooveboxes follow your song: toggle MIDI sync with one click. And much more.

Precyne 2 makes sampling quick and easy with a tightly integrated sampler. Edit your samples. Play single shots, loops and sample slices.
- 3 analog modeling multimode filters.
- 4 envelopes.
- 4 LFOs capable of audio rate speeds.
- Easy automation of parameters from MIDI clips.

The mixer is designed to treat your audio interface inputs and outputs like channel strips found on real analog consoles in professional studios. Included are full mixing controls, 8 bus sends and an aux send, for flexible routing.

Mixer Sets turn your audio interface into a patchbay. Switch between multiple studio setups inside a single project file with a single mouse click. Switch routing, mixes and even audio interfaces. Create multiple different hardware and plugin effect chains and switch between them instantly. Change between different audio sources and mixes before sending the results to your hardware samplers. Collaborate with other producers by creating unique routings and mixes for each studio you work in.

Designed with ease of use in mind. Intuitive to use. Easy to learn.

DRM-free: No activation servers. No internet checks. No hassle.

Limited time offer: $29 + VAT. Ends March 25th.
Usual price: $44 US + VAT.

Very nice Kraku! So good to see that Precyne is going strong. I have a question for you: if i want to create more complex chords that contain 4 to 5 notes, i have to use more tracks (like in good old Ft2). But is there a way to move all the selected notes up or down? It may be user error, but last time i tried, i could only move seperate notes. I had to go to every individual track and move the notes in the chord one by one.

Picked this up to support them, though it's still got some ways to go imo...

By moving do you mean note places in the tracks or their pitches up/down?

In tracks you can paint the notes and move them by grabbing them with mouse and dragging and dropping.

By moving the note pitches up/down there are the +1/-1/+12/-10 buttons at the top of the pattern editor which pitch the painted notes up/down when you click those buttons.

Please send your feedback to support e-mail or to me in PM and I'll see what can be done about it.
If I don't know what's missing, then it might take longer for those potentially missing features to be added to Precyne.

Yeah, i was talking about note places (location). In Renoise you can move the chords up/down with ctrl+shift+del (the chord moves upwards one line). Or ctrl+shift+ins (chord moves downward one line).

I really like the chord command in Precyne. But since it only allows max 3 notes, i can't do jazzy chords. I wish i could have atleast 5 notes. :)

Ah, I'll see what can be done about that pattern data moving feature.

Regarding the chord command:
Do you usually use it with Alt/AltGr key (playing the chord in with keyboard) or do you enter the command manually into the command column?

I usually enter the command manually cause... you know "the tracker feeling" :)

Hmm, I'll see if there is something that could be done to expand the number of notes when the chord is entered manually.
