You can also layer them in Blue Cat's PatchWork, and Bitwig, Ableton, and Reason have their own containers for that stuff.beely wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 10:41 pmA layer of two J8X's, each doing one of the two Tones (which are essentially each JX8P patches).
I use Logic, so it's a simple Patch being a summing stack of two JX8 instances/channels.

Yeah, gotcha. You didn't actually ask any questions. You just said your usual schtick with question marks at the end. I don't have to confirm anything for you. You either like it or your don't. I like it. You don't. It really just comes down to that. TAL will sell quite a few copies despite your opinion and that's all that matters.BONES wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 5:44 amSee, that doesn't answer my question so much as confirm that there is nothing at all special about this synth, if that's the best you can do.234north wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 2:17 amI actually paid in real money. I like it. Always been a Roland fan, always will be. If you don't like it really it's OK to not buy it.

You know what I don't understand and what really pisses me off to no end?
1. Why people care if somebody likes a synth or not. Who gives a f**k? You liking or not liking a synth I bought has no effect on whether or not I use it and enjoy it.
2. Why people go out of their way to make somebody feel STUPID for liking the synth that they like. Do they actually get some enjoyment out of doing that? How sad a life do you have to have to get enjoyment out of making somebody feel stupid because they like a synth.
The Unisynth thread is a perfect example of this. I was literally called a fool for buying it. News flash. I use that synth ton.
So what the f**k is wrong with people?

A: Very sad. One thing I've learned on KVR is that the less you know about some of the commenters here, the better.

Another thing I've learned about KVR is a person needs a thick skin or they will constantly be offended and upset.

If the question wasn't obvious, I'd have thought the question mark might have made it clear to even the thickest idiot here. Clearly I misjudged.234north wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2026 1:42 amYou didn't actually ask any questions. You just said your usual schtick with question marks at the end.
No, why be helpful at all. Why not just be a selfish c**t? (That's also a question, but it's rhetorical, no need to go to the trouble of answering.)I don't have to confirm anything for you.
It's mot a popularity contest. It's a tool, it's useful or it's not.You either like it or your don't.
I have no firm opinion on it, I wanted to know if it was worth looking into.I like it. You don't.
No, it really doesn't.It really just comes down to that.
I've never thought there was any shortage of clueless idiots, especially around here.TAL will sell quite a few copies despite your opinion and that's all that matters.

The issue is obviously not limited to Synths or even kvr, Internet itself seems to act as a catalyst or an accelerant for misunderstandings.
The best strategy is probably to take onboard everyone's opinions and then formulate or forge your own path.?

Indeed everyone is allowed to like whatever he likes and everyone has the right to dislike what you like as you wrote more or less.wagtunes wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2026 2:20 am You know what I don't understand and what really pisses me off to no end?

This plugin is a tool to create music or to give you some inspiration, if that's the case, perfect.

Anyone with a hardware JX-8P figure out how to get J-8X to talk to it in Logic 12? I've clicked the drop down to select my JX-8P, hit sysex, then send, but nothing happens. What am i missing?
