Having a lot of issues using Evolution Boutique Guitar when it comes to recording in Logic Pro XI - does anyone know of a good demo for how to use it in the DAW? I’ve found several YouTube videos demo’ing the product. But none with how to use it in DAW

Trying to record using the strumming feature on Boutique Guitar in Logic Pro X - it records the strum to a single midi key note, C0. So I can’t adjust the strum pattern if it’s slightly off in timing without bouncing it, and then flex timing the sample. Additionally, if I want to create a longer strumming chain and change chords, but my timing is slightly off, it cuts off the strumming pattern. And generally I just can’t find a demonstration that shows using OTS in a DAW.

When recording a strumming pattern into your DAW, it will record you holding down the strumming pattern key (C0, for example) as well as any chord voicings you have held in the main playing range to indicate which chords to use for the strumming.

If the strumming is slightly off in timing, you can always move the strumming pattern key MIDI note afterward. If it's any help, there's also an option in the SETUP section to automatically quantize the strumming pattern keys. That way as long as you start the strumming pattern on or before the downbeat, it will ensure that the strumming starts right on the beat.

Same goes for moving the chord voicings around after recording, too, in case you switched chords too early (which would mute any ringing chord during the strumming as it switches chords) or too late.

When recording/tracking I only get the CO note that triggers my strumming pattern. No other notes are triggered on my piano roll (chord voicings that I’ve held in the main playing range do not appear)

I’m using the strum pattern generator — not the up/down trigger (D1/D#) on my midi keyboard.

Also, still have not found a single video tutorial of someone tracking OTS guitars in a DAW. Just walkthroughs of all the different things you can do with the instrument. Useless to me unless I can see the process, and what I might be doing wrong.

I wish OTS had better tutorials in general.

I’m just desperate for a video that shows how to successfully record the strumming sequencer in Logic Pro XI.

I figured this out - and I’ll make a video for other noobs like me

Anyone figured this one out yet? A response from OT would be great just to clarify if this is possible or not so I can stop driving myself crazy trying to figure this out. It's been more than a year since the original post.
Thank you.
